Creating a d&d world from the start! [Microscope]
« on: April 21, 2014, 03:18:05 PM »
This is an attempt to reboot the attempt that we've started a couple of years ago. The idea is to use the microscope rpg to create our own campaign world for d&d.

If everything goes well, we could go further and flesh out a whole campaign (using the game's rules) and transform it in a ready-to-play adventure for other people.

Anyone interested?

Seems like an interesting system, I'd be up for it / down to try it / right interested / I can't find a way to use "left".

You don't want to be left out?
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

I might be game for this.  I've used Dawn of Worlds with my live group before (though we won't use that world until we finish our current campaign), and it was fun.  I understand Microscope is a bit different, but serves a similar function.  I don't recall... is the PDF for Microscope free?  Or is it something that needs to be purchased?

No, the microscope pdf isn't free, as far as I remember. If that's an ... issue with anyone, let me know.

I'll get my hands on Microscope and give it a read over this weekend (things are quite busy until at least Friday night).  Then I'll be ready to start.  ;)

I can give a link to the pdf I've got to anyone that wants it. I need to re-read it, too, as I don't remember much about it besides the basics.

*cough* You can... *cough*

I'm about 30 pages in.  I understand the basics now, and should be through it by Monday.

After my ridiculous failure in putting a question in the old Microscope subforum...

Are we somewhat ready to start? I'm looking forwards to this!
