"
Pirates find their own funding, operate through intermediaries, and obtain what they need to endure and conquer. The fact that these pirates are so equipped should not surprise you." Rabbit offered in confidence, quietly. The rest of the trip he was silent. He could probably leap to that ship from here, climb up the side, clai....
No. He'd wait. This wasn't *HIS* ship. It was *THEIR* ship. When they got to the Deck, Rabbit was a little lost in thought. No atmosphere processor, no recyclotron units. Coil assemblies? Vigilance turrets? Dropship docks?
Even by Federation standards, this ship needed work. The catapult was a nice touch though. Down into the deck they went, and upon spying the luxury the captain lived in, compared to the squabble the rest of the crew lived in, Rabbit had to laugh. "
A Pirate is a Pirate, no matter where you go." though, that made him think. If there was a fledgling pirate presence here on this planet, crude though it may be... was there a crude version of High Command in effect here. Were the pirates here truly being led by one organizing force...
Chains. These he could deal with. "
These aren't the normal sort of lock that I'm familiar with. But I may have a key that could work." he again pressed a hand against the visor mount on his head. "
System. Weapon activate. SG-54 Solaron Blaster."
A click was heard from the holster on his hip. Or at least, where his hip would be were he not a fish-like monster from the stars, and then the armor over that holster moved and extended the weapon he was using before. A simple enough design, but effective enough. "
Pha Eris, can you chill the chains at that target point as cold as possible for you? Once chilled and semi-brittle, the high energy particles combined with an endemic field radia..." he stopped himself, "
This should burn through them." and tapped his visor again, "
System. File reference. Humorous responses, random result."
His visor's display flashed a response, and Rabbit took a position to the side of the chest, aiming at the chains so that if he missed (He'd never live it down) he wouldn't accidentally hit the chest itself.
"
Don't worry. I'm a much better aim at things that don't move."
I will be attending a convention for the next five days, and my internet connectivity may be spotty at best. I'll post the damage rolls in the rolling thread just in case no one in the party can properly deal with locks and chains. If need be, Rabbit will fire more then once. Osle, you can roll Rabbit's damage up to three more times for me if necessary.
