I think my opinion is mostly 'Quinn's a terrible person, but things have gotten terribly out of hand'.

I concur.

I'm not familiar with this part, what happened?

The short story goes something like this....

SJWs doing their SJW thing and putting heat on some indy guy.  4chan notices the nonsense this guy is getting and decides to donate en masse to them.  One of the donation benefits is that you can make a character for the game.

Turns out, it's quite a lot of money...

Developers: Oh hey this is pretty great.

SJWs: What are you doing?  You accepting money from the CATHEDRAL OF MISOGYNY!

Developers: And?

Much butthurt follows.  And in the ultimate troll, while they were expecting a sexpot, or 420smokeweedeveryday, or some joke character, /v/ decided to deliver a perfectly normal gamer girl who is a better model of equality than anything the SJWs could develop.  The name is a pun.... Vivian James.... Video Games.... even some of her bio details were pretty cool, like the clover in her hair (because 4chan) or her screen name of level.... because video game levels... and l e v e l.... l v l... /v/.

It was deliciously clever.  And of course, because butthurt, the funds also go to solving butt cancer.  You don't usually see the chaotic hive of /v/ unite so well for a good cause, but everyone went zen.

Why were they putting heat on the indy guy?  The SJWs, anyway.

Behold the explanation.

Best thing about the inanity? The company that they got annoyed at? Everyone is female.

I.... actually forgot, it was something shallow I remember.  Like "the main character is too pretty" or "why aren't they a fat black woman" or something. Thanks Raineh for the link, that was right.  I forgot about the dox.

But I can say the cathedral thing... that was a quote.

And as usual, they pretend that 4chan has no girls on it. /u/, or so I've been told, has quite a few. But I don't really know. The whole point is that it's anonymous; so long as that anonymity is kept, you can't tell. And they're assuming that all the people with no identifying features at all... are male. Bloody hypocrites.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it not Quinn that actually did that?  but someone else blaming her?  And she had nothing to do with it?

I doubt anyone really knows at this point.

I'm 99% certain I read that Quinn was not involved with this at all.  I remember reading a bit a while ago about this part, but I didn't know this part of it, mostly the part that pertained to her.  And basically, she got blamed, but didn't have anything to do with it.

EDIT: note that it was a reddit user not associated with either party that claimed all this.

Really, the problem in this instance is her attitude towards TFYC--followed by what happened when her fans met /v/. Saying it's entirely someone else sounds like scapegoating.

I'm not sure what you're referring to by "this."  Did you mean The Fine Young Capitalist's game jam?  Because she was absolutely involved in that.
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.
