Slowly the emaciated form a small Rat-like Humanoid creeps into view. The figure appears to be wounded. It stands at the edge of your view sniffing the air. With it's head raised it squeeks and chirps a few times in your direction. It looks like he is ready to run..

Ezekiel looks down the tunnel and says " I think that's one of the contacts from Tchik-Chekk.. not sure though. He seem's a little small." after a pause he shrug's and says " I don't know... things appear to have changed dramatically since I last came down here." he makes some small chirp sounds and throws a few pieces of dried rations down the tunnel.

Snack has a smug look on his face. " See friends, my word is true. Not all Rat-Men are honorless,.. just most of us........ " he stops in the middle of what ever he was saying. It appears he is staring intently into one of the far right passages that is unmarked.
The two Ratmen guards appear to be oblivious to what ever Snack is doing, as they are both eyeing Red.

Stepping closer to the ratman Kyle whispers "Are you wounded? What happened? Were you attacked?"

As Kyle steps closer and whispers to him, the small ratmen cowers in fear at first. Slowly it hops towards the party and begins to nibble on some of the rations. You see that it is a male, and he is about the size of a small halfing.
In a small, squeeky voice he begins to chirp something at you. Your not sure what he is saying though. He is holding a wounded arm, but once or twice in his conversation he points back towards the way he came from. He seems very frightened of something. He hops over to Kyle and sits down by his leg

Trying not to scare the ratman, Jazra assumes a non-threatening pose and folds his arms. Can any of you understand him? he asks in a his normal voice.

Seeing that the rat-man doesn't seem to be offensive, Red sends him a smile as He says: I'll just grab this if you don't mind. he extends his hand with a sack, were he'll attempt to cast mage hand to move the doll into the sack, without touching it.

"I'm afraid I can't and I don't have any magical means at my disposal to help us in this situation..."The young human then pauses for a moment trying to listen to any noises coming from the direction the ratman was pointing to. "It looks like he wants to go down there, but I'm afraid this might be a trap."

While Kyle is replying to Jazra, the Ratman suddenly jumps in fear. He begins to squeek rapidly and runs past Kyle towards where midnight is standing. Near the entrance to his hide out.
The Eunich following Elle says " Apparently Sister Elle has decided it would be best to escort this Rat to the safe house? To get him healed, and gain any information we can from him. Objections? " Elle bends over and scoops up the tiny Ratman in her arms.

Ezekiel and Elle wait near the entrance to the hide out.

As Red begins to move the Doll, Snack chimes in " Ahem! Please Sir don't handle the item until our transaction has been completed. " The Ratman places his hand over the Doll keeping it on the pedestal.
The guard looks up to you Red still in a non-aggressive manner. He doesn't make eye contact though. It's obvious being from the undercity he is familiar with the great Chorrun'Char. He whimpers slightly as he awaits further instructions from Snack.

Sylla - You thought for a moment you saw a movement in the far right passage out of the complex. But after looking harder it seems like it was just a flickering shadow.

Snack looks to Sylla and Coron. " Well masters. Betraying my clan, and our original employers all on your word shows my faith. Now if you please, lets talk gold and finish this quickly? " he flashes a toothy rotten smile as he bows briefly in respect. He now is staring at you both waiting for an offer.

Red looks at the rat-man guard, gives him a confused stare, then a laugh. He looks down to Snack; I'm offering you a place in the new world order, and all you want is gold, silly rat-man, how much do you want, then? He looks to the rat in front of him, and whispers, barely above words in undercommon: Silly rat, trying to take treasure from a dragon is not the best way of prolonging your life.

Coron shouts up, "Red, are you sure it has the mark? I do not desire that we should waste our precious little time on a necromantic trinket."

To Snack, he says, "Where did you obtain this item? We must be specific, if I am to request the money to pay you from our benefactors."

His gaze still locked on the tunnel Kyle sighs, before answering to Elle: "I don't know... It would seem like the best idea in this case but I would like to have the others back before we left this spot. Until they get back I'd like to be within hearing distance so that if something happens we can help."

It does radiate necromancy, but I have no way of telling whether it has the right mark. It does have A mark though. Red yells back. Give me some time and I'll read you what the mark says!

I'm assuming it's marked, I would be able to see whether it is with Detect Magic, if I don't see a mark, I'll not cast Read Magic. If I cast read magic I'd be able to read the mark.

In a much lower voice than normal Jazra saysDon't leave just yet, there is something else down there. And I think it was just killed.. The pale man then proceeds to bring out his bow. Shall we investigate?

"Yeah, I guess... But we shouldn't go too deep... I have a bad feeling about this." replies the pale human as he walks towards the tunnel, his shining armor lighting the way.

Jazra nods quickly to Kyle. Agreed, lead on. Then he quickly turns to the Elle and her eunuch If you feel it necessary to go, then do so. Though you should probably be alert, we have already been split up once and the fewer we get, the easier targets we become.

Wait... shouldn't you turn down the illumination on that? I'd be worried about ambushes, if something is wrong up ahead. I mean we may as well go forth yelling "Dinner! Intrepid heroes for dinner!"

Ezekial smiles briefly an additional quip on the tip of his tongue but then starts down the tunnel along kyle silently shaking his head.

You all can hear Elle, and her Eunich begin to move back up the Passage to the 'Red Chateau' "M'Lady says good luck, she will be waiting at the safehouse with the creature"  Eunichs voice echoes down as they climb back out of the sewer system.

The party makes its way forward. Kyle's light shining bright as you all creep along. You begin to exit the short passage entering into a small chamber. Its about 9-14ft wide and 15ft long before it exits out again. As you round the corner you hear a *poof* and a disgusting smelling brownish gas rolls about the floor. You see two of the following

The creature surges forward, not unlike a molten mass of flesh oozing across the ground. It has a human-shaped head and torso, but its body is a shapeless mass below the waist. A permanent expression of anguish twists across its face.

Behing the two creatures you see a women crouching, eating the corpse of a small female rat-anthromorph. She is very feminen with catlike features. She is dressed in a large over cloak, you can see a scroll case poking out from her waist. Her arm is raised towards the party in a clentched fist. It has a large 'Calaspar' family slave ring on it.
