Link to the Handbook Index (http://minmaxforum.com/index.php?topic=399.0).
Since we have these now, why make everyone PM me? That's just silly.
Post here with comments, questions, concerns, additions, retractions, humorous anecdotes, obscure metaphors, and anything else that might be relevant to the big fat listing of handbooks.
I update the main listing on a schedule of "whenever I feel like it", which is usually about every 3-4 months. Until then, I try to record the new handbook links and other changes to be made in the 3rd post (http://minmaxforum.com/index.php?topic=399.msg1857#msg1857) of the handbook thread so nothing gets lost (in theory, anyways).

Still no Practical Demonkeeping update. http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=6320 (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=6320)

http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19871214/Dispelling_38;_Counterspelling_Compilation
A compilation on dispelling/counterspelling.

We should have an index of Discussion Threads, and then a Discussion Thread for that index.

Your image link is broken, Sirp.
Everything that was to be sorted and updated is now sorted and updated.

Not for me... must be your firewall. Anyway it's probably obvious what it is.

I use this thread, Spells that save you from taking feats or investing skill points? (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=3797.0), fairly often. It's not a formal handbook but is a good reference even though it's not complete.

The TWF Offhandbook, http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=15034585 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=15034585), is a good, comprehensive resource on TWF with some good rules discussion.
-
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=176968 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=176968)
This is a fairly good handbook on the warblade.
-
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=252715 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=252715)
And this is another handbook, on warlocks.
-
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159617 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159617)
This is a handbook on the Suel Arcanamach.
There are a bunch of old handbooks on WotC's site, of varying quality, and I don't know if there are any general feelings about older handbooks. This one, http://community.wizards.com/forum/previous-editions-character-optimization/threads/1308021 (http://community.wizards.com/forum/previous-editions-character-optimization/threads/1308021), is on the jade phoenix mage. It's kind over-specific and doesn't evaluate the TB base classes well but has some useful breakdowns of the basics of sequencing JPM builds. This one, on the revenant blade http://community.wizards.com/forum/previous-editions-character-optimization/threads/1096851 (http://community.wizards.com/forum/previous-editions-character-optimization/threads/1096851), is very short and mostly a compilation of builds with some brief discussion of the PrC as a whole.
On the self-promotion front, I also have some old handbooks on the WotC boards that I can probably hunt down links to if it would be appropriate. They are definitely out of date (I've significantly advanced in my understanding of 3.5 since I wrote them), but they cover some topics that aren't really covered in any of the current handbooks.
-
Where is the place you should mention a new handbook? Some people do it here, it's also done at the end of the handbook index thread...
-
Both places are fine, although now that there's a discussion thread it's probably better to do it here in the public board where everyone can post. I check the index thread and the index discussion thread fairly regularly, along with the Handbooks board as a whole.

Ok, cool! I think 5 new ones are mentioned in the handbook index thread since the last time it was updated.
Edit: oh, nvm, I see they are added to the 'unsorted' list. Do you need any help with sorting them?

Only the ones in the Unsorted section of that post. The rest, I know where to put them, I just need to update my local copy of the index, and I'm too lazy to do that more than once every few months.

Here are two of my old handbooks, on the enlightened fist and fochlucan lyrist respectively. These are seriously outdated, as they were written before the end of 3.5, and I've advanced considerably both in my understanding of the rules and what kinds of things I would and wouldn't do in game. (I wouldn't abuse polymorph, for one.) That said, they have some good advice. I plan to update my enlightened fist guide at some point, but probably not any time soon given my other projects.

Happy holidays, everyone. I just updated the index with all of those wonderful links that have been piling up.

http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=268661 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=268661)
And another handbook, this time on the shadowcaster.

http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=259783 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=259783)
Another swordsage handbook.
-
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=223438 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=223438)
An incantatrix handbook.
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=275200 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=275200)
A soulbow handbook.
-
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=296106 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=296106)
A runecaster handbook. There's a lot of dubious rules interpretations I wouldn't allow, but also some useful ideas.
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=269705 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=269705)
An archery handbook that's not finished but still compiles a lot of relevant information.
-
The 3.5 Red Hand Of Doom Handbook for DMs (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171284)
This is a handbook for DMs rather than players and less strictly focused on optimization than most of the material around here, but it has a lot of discussion of rebuilding the Red Hand of Doom encounters to challenge optimized parties.
-
[3.5] Zen Psionics: Mastering the Meditant (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=224909)
A handbook on the meditant PrC.
-
The Gish Handbook (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=321715)

Items That Grant Feats (http://home.comcast.net/~ftm3/JHtB/feats.html) here's a page I've found useful.
-
The Truest of the True: A Handbook to non-Kobold Dragons (WIP) (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=303204)
A handbook on dragons, as PCs and NPCs.
-
Hi folks. Just letting you know that I've been drifting away from the D&D community for a while, and I do not expect that I will keep this index updated with any new 3.5e handbooks that people make. If anyone is interested in taking over, I would suggest contacting the forum mods about transferring thread ownership. I hope this resource has been helpful while I was still maintaining it.

Items That Grant Feats (http://home.comcast.net/~ftm3/JHtB/feats.html) here's a page I've found useful.
That page and more has been incorporated into a handbook
Handbook of the Exotic Practice of Feat Binding (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=4099.msg55839#msg55839) ... or, the Handbook of Feat-granting Items and Effects
-
The Consolidated Binder Handbook by jameswilliamogle was in the hatchet thread, but wasn't actually here. So now it is. (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=15798)
Under Binder you have the "Trade Soul for Awesome" which I eventually just made the repost over on the old boards, and you have his original thread as well (if you want to keep that link for posterity, that's fine). If you add the new one that is actually here rather than on BG you'll have three links that link to the same information.
I'm actually back to updating the Let's Make a Deal handbook, and it's coming along. Not that it's been like 3 years or anything...

The New Bard's Handbook: http://www.joshuad.net/new-bard-handbook/

There are loads of Pathfinder's classes handbooks thus far.
I've even found a Pathfidner Handbook Index - might be cool to include these on your index.

I humbly submit my handbooks from over at giantitp for addition to the index here. The tenser's floating disk one I copied over to this board a while ago on request, but I don't think it's been added here yet (also, I've been lazy in discussion). The Feat granting items one I just linked Ninjenko to so that he can absorb it into his feat-binding guide if he so chooses, as I didn't want to step on his toes by copying it over, so you may not want to include that.

I noticed that carnivore's Pixie Handbook and Pyro build weren't ported over.
I'm listing these just for the link, to then go get them at wayback.

Magic Item Granting Feats link is dead: http://home.comcast.net/~ftm3/JHtB/feats.html
We have a handbook on this board for that stuff
Handbook of the Exotic Practice of Feat Binding ...or, the Handbook of Feat-granting Items and Effects (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=4099.msg55839#msg55839)

I suggest adding a line in the first post with instructions for newbies on how to find handbooks that were in the WotC boards, e.g.
"As of date the Wizards of the Coast boards have been shut down. You can find most removed handbooks and other material in this thread. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?444041-Threads-from-the-Wizards-forums)"
I have been directing a lot of people to the Handbook Index and this would help them a lot.

My handbook on travel magic:

We should have an index of Discussion Threads, and then a Discussion Thread for that index.
Oh. I keep thinking that that is what this thread is.
Basically, when I want to add something to a handbook, I have to search through 11 pages of discussion pages to see if a discussion thread on the handbook yet. Thoughts, OP?

Happy new year and holidays. I've gone through one final update and sorting of the index for the end of 2016.
By the way, I'm not very active on this site any more. In the unlikely event that there's a sudden surge in 3rd edition handbook activity, I probably won't be keeping up with it at all. In the off chance that that happens and becomes an issue, I have no objections to the admins taking over and/or giving the thread to someone who's more active.

Is it at all possible for Admins to grant anyone with the DnD Handbook Writer title to be able to edit the post?
If so people can add in their Handbook links to the Index directly.
-
The index is updated with the newly restored links. Among other benefits, the links to unported BG handbooks now point to the restored BG archive. All of those old threads are now accessible once again.

Sohei Handbook: http://minmaxforum.com/index.php?topic=18142.0
Under Base Classes => Martial.

Since there is a psionics section under magic and alternate systems, shouldn't the Master Psionics List appear under there?
I've also updated the List thread so that it actually shows every power by name and source in the thread.
This should make it more useful to everyone.
