Mexico v Worst Hurricane on Record
« on: October 23, 2015, 05:42:44 PM »
Holy snot, they're gonna get clobbered worse than Katrina on New Orleans.
Send good thoughts, prayers, condolences etc
200+ mph (320 kph) winds and 880 millibar pressure are unbelievable.

I was looking at it Wed night as a Cat 1 going over near 90* water
and thought well that might be bad, but this is just incredible.

+200 mph?  Well.... damn.

That thing is a giant-sized tornado.
Mudada.

Lucky for everybody else, it went ashore in a very rural area.
CNN only had a land line into a small town nearer to Manzanillo.

"giant tornado" Yeah exactly.  The Joplin tornado wiki map,
is good scale 1 mile wide and you can see the city blocks
of  about 1/8th a mile.  This hurricane was doing that but
at 12 mile eye plus 15 miles on either side, inland 100 miles.

Horrible.
