Haha, this is actually the first time in a long time I've played something other than that loot-hound character! Gerand could barely care less about the contents of the chest, being more distracted by the demon summoning. He's basically a hand of his Queen; what use has she for simple trinkets and coins?

Unless.....

......

...... the chest contains the tools for summoning their demonic master! CHARACTER DRIVE!

Understandable, we're not moving very quickly at the moment anyway. :)

Sorry to keep everyone in suspense over the chest. if it helps, it's not particularly special, though there is some loot in there. With Thanksgiving though, haven't had much time to get that finished up. I'll probably wrap this cave up tomorrow night, assuming, the group decides to move on.

Ok, here's a question for you guys: Would you rather me hand out random treasure, or do you want a bit of a hand in choosing what you find? Thing is, I have trouble with the concept of giving one player an advantage while the others have to wait. A lot of gear tends to be either incidental or just situational. Alternatively, I can just start by giving just what the module doles out, until later at least.  Thoughts?

I'm not sure what would be good for Amnon honestly.

For now, I'm fine with whatever comes our way... Most of the stuff I want can't be found at this level anyway  :P

Since I have NO experience with 4e magic items, I'll leave it to you 100%. It'll be fun that way; my character concept can evolve around whatever you throw at me, rather than a preset motif I design, which I haven't done in a while...

Sorry if it's taking a while, I've been incredibly busy. And no, it has not involved Skyrim, much to my dismay. :)

What is my count off about?  I checked everyone else's character sheets and nobody else has a Radiant Weapon power, and according to the Eberron Player's Guide Eberron Dragonshards can only be affixed to magic weapons.

No, I mean there are five characters and five items, not four.

You're right, there are five items.  I just realized that.  However, you only identified four of them.

And there are only four character sheets in the character sheets thread.

Edit: Now give me a magic sword so my melee basic attacks can do an extra damage from the dragonshard.   :P

You're right, sorry. I've added the fifth item, the Hedge Wizard's Gloves.

Please note, I picked most of these at random from low-level item lists. :P

As for the fifth player... we haven't heard a peep from Archangel. He might be too busy trying to stay emplyed for PbP right now. I'll have to poke him to see if he's still interested in playing.

Well, initially I expected you'd use the dragonshard, until realizing it only technically works on weapons, which is a dumb notion. I honestly think it ought to work on implements just as well. I then figured Amnon would use the Bracelet, since it 1) is melee-oriented, and 2) features his deity's symbol. But one can never quite tell how their players will act.  :shrug

Actually, now that I think about it, Cal can make use of the dragonshard. Or rather, he will be able to, once he's got a magical version of his staff. Staves double as both staff implement and quarterstaff, so technically it applies in both circumstances. The wording of the dragonshards' properties don't say that they only apply to weapon attacks, only the damage of the weapon. I'm going to rule that in this particular circumstance, it would allow Cal to make use of the dragonshard, should Amnon relinquish it at some point.

Lol, well he can use it too so it works for either of us equally well.

Well, eventually some of this stuff will be sellable. Maybe not for terribly much, but other gear will replace it. Assuming he takes this, you'll get the next thing I suppose. There'll be more loot along the way, for sure. :)
