Raoul seemed upset that they'd be going into the thick of things right the second they stepped through.

Reminded him of...

...wait, those were memories he couldn't have, not really.

The mustached man smirks and says "Ah, party crashers. How rude. I do hate surprises."

Glancing over your group, a look of disgust passes over his face as he eyes Orghest, and in the blink of an eye is swinging at him with the butcher's knife. He then blinks out of existence briefly.

Marlowe is moving before Faust's knife finishes swinging, a wave of temporal energy exploding out of him to accelerate everyone's movements as he dashes to higher ground faster than the eye can follow.

Marlowe now remembers hearing of an obscure sect of ascetic warriors who blended teachings from the temples with the powers of the mind. One of their signature abilities was to channel their powers through their weapons, and they were also known for their ability to use transportive powers seamlessly with their attacks. This guy's fighting style seems to match their description, so far.

Ris-Janna shifts a little in place. She raises one hand and brings it down, as if tearing down the wallpaper, and the room plunges into darkness, starting from the walls and closing in on her in the blink of an eye. It swallows the light and life out of the room, and the zenythri once he returns, but the group can see just as fine as in bright daylight.

Orgesht gags and swallows bile as the exits the portal, the novelty of time travel disagreeing with his stomach. The kobold looks about in mild confusion. But despite his discomfort and the surprise blow, he manages to parry easily. A weird spatial distortion makes it appear as if one of his claws is very near or large, over six inches in length, while the rest of him seems distant or slightly smaller than the one claw. "Masters, does your groveling servant Orgesht have permission to flay the enemy apparent? It is a great boon, this vile slave craves, to revel in blood and death once more. But perhaps my lords will be more indulgent than this one deserves, given the circumstance?"

"Orgesht, as far as I'm concerned, if it's attacking us, you can kill it!"

Raoul seemed to be anticipating something, as fiery energy crackled from his fingertips.

"Orgesht, you don't need our permission for that. If someone tries to kill you, you try to kill them right back."

Cade takes a moment to rearrange the bodies in the room, so that he is now standing where Orgesht was when Mustache Man blinked away. He then prepares his usual defensive tactic, which was a personal favorite of his. He flashed a devilish grin.

Dwvar scowls, a familiar expression for him, and waves his hands in the direction of Ris-Janna. "RJ, can you please remove this trouser stain? He's damn annoying."

"Then Orgesht slays! Thank you! Than..rRrglglhou" Orgesht's form boils twists and swells, becoming that of an Otyugh, but yellow in color with extra tentacles, spectral (incarnum) arms, and and bat-like wings.

The mustached man reappears on the other side of Orgesht and swings at him (well... at the otyugh now standing where he was) with his butcher knife again. His swing appears much more precise and calculated this time, unlike the first wild swing which missed.

Just as his blade connects, Raoul's spell washes over him and he slumps a bit as if he were out of breath.

Orgesht's nightmarish form nearly twists out of the way, but the blade catches him.

Cade reacts swiftly at the Mustache Man's reappearance and subsequent attack on his ally, bringing his greatsword to bear against the Time Cop.

The man winces as the blade bites deeply into his skin, but there is a flash of blue which washes over the wound, and the crystal strapped onto his armor pulses in sync. Then the wound is gone completely.

A series of flickering afterimages and sudden air movements are the only warnings the justicar gets before Marlowe thrusts twice with both rapiers in rapid succession, finishing with a lunging stab at Faust's hopefully unguarded back.

Again the man winces as the blows hit, but they are immediately erased by a bluish glow pulsing on him and the crystal.
