"If he is hiding, would finding the boat be easier?" Asked Kosj as she eyed Zane, still unsure what to make of him.
"You think I'm talking about breaking the rules?"
"No I'm just trying to figure out how far you want them bent."

"Askin' people 'bout da ship would work, an' it might also attract attention, be that good or bad.  So, who here be good at spinnin' tales ta cover tings up just in case?" Zane said as he gave a curious glance to Jack.

"I'm sure Spike and I can help deter any who wish to give us any trouble." said Castor with a grin, much akin to a predatory smile.

Spike nods and pats his axe again, smiling somewhat himself.

"Tell you what, why don't we go to the dockmaster, or whomever is in charge of the port, and make an inquiry first? If anyone would know where Vark is, it'd be the man in charge of this place."

"Sounds like a plan to me, let's go." replied Castor.

Stellan agrees, having listened carefully to all of the discussion thus far.

Not convinced it is a good idea, but lacking a better one, Kosj remains silent and gives a nod of consent.

Castor motions for Spike to follow before he turned and started for the door. He began to make for the docks. One one level he wanted this to go by easily, after all, he really shouldn't draw too much attention to himself, but on another, a bit of fun would make for an interesting event.

Jack will walk up to the offices of the dockmaster and see if he can get an appointment, or a quick word in.

The route to the docks is uneventful and you head towards the dockmasters office, unfortunately it seems to be shut for the moment but there is a black slate map of the docks with names chalked into each mooring spot visible through a window. The Titania is moored north of you, within short walking distance.

"What a fortuitous occurrence," Jack remarks. "Shall we pay the gentleman a visit, or shall we survey the place ahead of time? I myself favor the latter approach - never head into trouble unprepared, I say."

"A good hunter always stalks her quarry first." Agreed Kosj, who has seemingly accepted Jack as the leader, for now.

Jack will move so that he can observe the Titania from an inconspicuous location nearby, such as an allyway or local restaurant, tavern, coffeeshop, etc.

You find one such alleyway, the ship seems to be heavily occupied. At least 20 thugs of various sizes and shapes moving around the decks. You also see the man you can assume to be Vark ordering the rest around.

"Alright, now how do we approach this? Anyone have any ideas? I think we could wait until nightfall so that most of Vark's men are asleep before boarding the ship. I imagine we could approach from the water via a small raft. Spike may be too heavy for that, but he could walk on the bottom of the bay without much ill effect, right? We could have him drag us towards the ship via rope, which would be quieter than rowing."

Spike gives Jack an exasperated look.  "How would I get onto the ship then?  I doubt any of you could help with that."
