Left or Right?
« on: May 30, 2017, 06:59:21 PM »
I have a simple question for you all, are you left or right handed?

Note, this isn't a fifty shades of gray-area thing. I'm sure you can do a lot of things with both hands, or maybe you only write in one hand and do everything with the other. - You should leave a comment about that for educational purposes. - But for polling purposes a lefty/righty's side is simply the more dominate (and often more effective at writing) side is what I'm looking for.

Thanks.
P.S. I'm a lefty.

I'm right-handed - I'm not coordinated enough to do anything neat with my left hand, sadly.

I'm left handed through either nature or obstinacy, though I can bat, bowl or shoot pool (each poorly, but worse with my right) with either hand.

*totally not stolen from FireInTheSky; got here first*
very ambimoustrous as well.

Lefty in pretty much everything.
Ambimoustrous (I can use a mouse pretty much equally in either hand).
Better throwing a frisbee backhand with my right, cause my oldest brother taught me, and he's a righty (though I'm not terrible throwing backhand lefty, and forehand, tomahawk, and push are all better lefty).

Born Right-handed, became a Lefty after an injury when I was two years old.
I do pretty much everything better with my left but I have spent a fair amount of effort to be decent with my right hand for shooting, computers and a few other things.

This is pretty interesting, what kind of injury was it if you don't mind me asking.

My mom accidentally dropped a tin can lid when taking out the trash and didn't notice it.
Two year-old me finds it on the floor and being a toddler somehow made a cut in my right palm almost to the bone.
Took several months for it to heal and by then I was already used to being a Lefty.

I wouldn't remember due to being two, but according to what I was told I was not crying or anything.
When my mom came back inside, I just held out my hand and said "Momma, owie." while bleeding all over the carpet.
I did start crying when the doctor applied disinfectant at the ER.

Nerve damage. I write equally poorly with both hands. I suppose I'm right handed, because it's a right hand world.
