Throne of Night is still unreleased. There's talk of what will happen in April, as apparently there's a 5 year waiting period for people to start suing for unfinished projects. I was so close to backing it in 2013, but I'm so glad I didn't.
But let's look at some recently-released KickStarters:
Book of Passion: A Book of Erotic Fantasy style sourcebook for Pathfinder is recently out.
The good news: It has a shitload of archetypes and spells which can be of use in non-porny types of games.
The bad news: I don't like the art style for most pics.
Midgard: Dark Roads and Deep Magic: A five-year time advance for Kobold Press' popular campaign setting. I have the (mostly) system-neutral World Book and the 3 system guides for it.
It's a really cool book, but in spite of the metaplot going forward not a lot has changed. Sure there's new art and rules, but a lot of nations are more or less the same. I still love the setting though, and it's probably on my Top 5 to try some day.
Book of Exalted Darkness: If you're familiar with Way of the Wicked, this is pretty much an "evil campaign" save it's a whole setting rather than an Adventure Path and designed for 5th Edition. It's set in a 1920s art deco utopia where celestials and demigod heroes made a paradise on the Material Plane. But the PCs and a host of underground mad scientists seek to bring their shiny spires crashing down.
I read parts here and there. It's definitely got some neat ideas, although it feels like it's going too far to be edgy. There are rules for harvesting magic items out of not-Smurf faries, complete with a gruesome torture chamber illustration. And the sample adventure involves the PCs breaking into a school to kill two 13 year old simblings and carve demonic runes into their corpses.
Arcanis 5e: A 5th Edition D&D update on the Arcanis campaign setting. Didn't get much time to read it, but there's a fantasy counterpart Roman Empire vibe to it.
