Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / Re: Bonus spell feats
« on: January 13, 2019, 02:23:56 PM »
Both look fine to me. I prefer the PF way of dealing with Cantrips particularly, so at-will damage cantrips don't mean much. Hell I would bump any cantrip too at-will, but since this is meant for 3.5 it should probably remain at 3/day.

The Magical Study scaling to match spell levels on par with Sorcerer might be too much, but I am not 100 on that, given it is only 1/day and is costing 2 feats. If casters are running around unrestricted I would say it is fine, nothing wrong with the mundanes being able to keep up with their shinanigans 1/day. Maybe require minimum Ability Score to use a spell of a certain level like standard classes. There should probably be some way to retrain the spell every level though, and if spell level should be lowered, Level / 3 would probably be the most needed.

It is an NPC, so he might be using the NPC class Warrior to beef up the stats a bit, but otherwise, I would imagine Fighter.

From what I know about King Hassan, one of his skills has a small chance every strike to instant kill. A Vorpal Weapon would work to represent that easy enough though, and using the Literal Assassin class for this Assassin Class Servant for Death Strike doesn't seem to bad if not unoptimal, though if you build him to a high enough level then there are save or die maneuvers too.

Well there is also the UKs push for age verification to access porn online via some form of identification (and to a lesser extent when they banned a bunch of sex acts from being performed in pornography created within the country a few years back).

I wouldn't say it is directly connected, but some of the leftwing have contributed towards the environment to censor such content (be it for perceived evils or for public image), and certainly, the traditional right is fine with restricting such things as well.

Relating back to the Loli stuff, we had GAB do a site-wide ban on Lolis, with the announcement post subsequently getting spammed with lolis for a straight week until the site got ironically knocked off the web because people overreacted that a shooter had an account on the sight. That sparked a little conversation online in some places.
Japan aside (because it is going to do its own thing), in the west lolicon is illegal in quite a few countries (mainly European nanny states), and some outlets fine with most porn do ban such content (again, be it for perceived evils or for public image), though it is admittedly applied somewhat inconsistently (and pornhub being one of the biggest providers doesn't seem to care at all).
I hear many of the Tumblr artists are moving over to Newgrounds because that somehow still exists, but they are not found of Loli themselves.

Regardless I didnt see Tumblr having much going for it beyond being a place where degenerates shared porn. It might live on with the other communities that exist there but the attempt to appeal more broadly by banning porn will probably not work out for them I think, other platforms are just simply better.

People that are into Birthright might be interested in this:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/816800048/seeds-of-wars-rpg-realm-management?ref=556619&token=17279351

It looks pretty interesting, though I don't believe they have shown any hard rules just general explanation of Realm Management. I think the greatest appeal is that the Realm Management rules are independent of a core TTRPG rules system, so you can play it with any Ruleset in theory.

My suggestion is too watch the first 15 episodes and treat the rest as fan fiction

With the Spring anime season coming to a close, I am wondering if anyone else has seen the travesty called Darling in the Franxx?

Ah that is that manga with the centaurs that used to basically be nazis right?

Ooooh Bleach wasn't that bad.

It wasn't any better than DragonBall, either... other than the fact that it actually, you know, ended.

^^

Bleach still has stuff happening thru Light Novels last I checked =P

Character death simply marks the start of the next part of the campaign arc in my groups. not quite Yu Yu Hakusho, but more of a death is just the beginning flavor.
Instead of Yu Yu Hakusho they could die and become swordporn ghost ninja mages like Bleach. :)

A fate worse than death

I do have to call out the clear money grab, though.  Selling hardcover and paperback books that are ADVERTISED to be incomplete?  You can't possibly "complete" them later!

Will they come in booster packs?

Heh now I have the image of a Wizard selling copies of his spells as booster pack cards. Is there any way to prevent people from copying spells they come across?

Eh I might be done with the work I have been doing at the end of the month.

I do want to get back into brewing some monster classes though, we will see.

From the looks of it, it is going to be a major departure from the 3.x ruleset that Pathfinder has been using. The few details they have given seem interesting, but given the rule changes, it won't be of much value for my group that usually plays 3.P Hybrid games.

I did want to do one since I did the Vivacious Creature, but I have not had much free time for vanity projects for the past year =P

Both appear to be in Ultimate Wilderness.

Probably a Spell Component Pouch.

Well, it doesn't appear like it is straying too far away from the source material which is nice, but live action adaptions are not anything I would be interested in. The way Alphonse looks really irks me though.

I say we are thinking too small.
Who else can we get our souls promised to?

You also have 2 martial adepts already, so you could suggest a Crusader if she wants to keep on healing in some capacity. It doesnt offer much in utility though, and with the rest of the comp it doesnt look like anybody else can either.

I would also 2nd the Factotum, they can work in any group, though the healing is not amazing (Sacred Healing feat can cover some OoC Healing if character has decent Cha)
