Hey guys, good to be back! Im starting to port stuff over asap. Get your characters and what not up.
For the campaign thread Im going to port in the opening few post's, and then the very last post Snack said.

I'm not sure how long I'll be able to stay in game now. I was told yesterday that Dec. 31 will be my last day working here. So things will be up in the air for me until I have a new job lined up and I don't know if I'll have to ability to get here from work at whatever new job I get.

K so we will deal with Arcanis' character "Elle" shortly. Feel free to strategize in character. Your party will be moving forward through the far tunnel in the room. As of now you cant really see down it that far, though it is emanating light.

We had to choose one "Modern Language" as they called it, the alternatives were: French, German, Italian and Spanish. Italian isn't offered (the other three are though) at every school in the country, but mine did. I pretty much chose one at random since I had no intention of obtaining deeper understanding of the language.

I learned some spanish in school, but that was it. All I actually remembered how to say is "the chicken is very handsome" ... not very useful haha.

Hey all!
Just thought I would let you know the game may slow down a little bit during the Holidays. With my two new born Twins I literally have an Army of Family trying to see me all day. Not to mention all my other responsibility's..
I will update probably tonight or tomorrow. Still no word from Midnight_V? K well if he doesn't return I will most likely invite one of my buddy's.

Haha yea thats pretty good. It mainly is just about having a nice Dinner with family your probably haven't seen in awhile. I know with my newborn Twins I have to make a trip to pretty much all of my immediate Family's houses.

Hey, so I looked over your campaign setting, it's very detailed, I like it a lot. It has a lot of interesting facets about the world. I like the differing magic mechanics. How exactly does divine magic work though, does it have to come through that one particular god to work properly? Also he/she is referred to as the Dark God, does that mean he's technically an evil deity? Just a few questions, I like the magi though, they were a good touch, it's always good to be able to give players something/someone to hate. ;)
I did have some thoughts about the alterations one can make to spells by 'burning oneself' in order to fuel the spells. d8's can add up pretty fast considering that a dedicated spellcaster has a hp ceiling of about 120hp if he's lucky and even a hybrid is gonna be hurting with just minor alterations, d4 is too little damage though, d6's might be more reasonable unless it's intended directly to be a 'Oh Shit' button of sorts to be used in emergencies. Also I was wondering if you'd considered planar magic, in my setting chaos-type magic is heavily penalized because of an event in the worlds' past, however certain chaos mages have found a way of making pacts with the demonic spirits left over in the world to fuel their magic without worrying about the spell fizzling at the wrong time. So how do the planes work in you world? Just had me wondering was all. Anyways I like it, I'm looking forward to playing in it!

Some of these questions have been somewhat answered in the Recruitment thread I posted up. I guess I need to work a Divine section into the World Info. A quick blurb about it though, because all the other God's are cut off from the world. Really only Clerics that worship this 'dark god' have any Divine access.
Haven't given much thought to how planar magic would work in the world. I will probably impose something Ravenloft flavored,.. which would hinder any means of travelling out of the plane. Not sure yet though.. it hasen't come up :D
As for the overchanneling of magic, it isn't meant to be something easily overcome. Thats how the Imperium maintain's such tight control. It is dangerous to do, and the effects can be devastating to both you and your opponent.

Looks good. So you know I allow max HP for levels taken before you enter the game. Go ahead and post him in the Character sheet section when ever youd like. Also in the combat forum I would like a quick combat stats. such as buffs/immunities etc etc.
Im going to start working on your PM now, though my babies are up so it may be 5mins, or 50mins before you receive it :D

In the recap I posted I didnt include anything the PC's said :-\ But scene 1 & 2's posts are really the main one's I would suggest reading. They build up the back story and set the tone. Scene 3 is when they meet the mentor. Scene 4 is where they are currently.

No. My character is talking to the rat guy guarding the item on the pedestal. He's hidden somewhere behind the statues circling it, and you probably heard him sneaking around. I just made up a name for the rat guy, as I hadn't seen one in the thread. Sorry if I missed something. :P

K so back to the game. Currently your in a tunnel very close to the entrance of Ezekeils "Chateau". You have one of 4 trinkets needed for a team to move into the next round of the games. There is 5 rounds of the games(but the campaign does continue after the games). Also you have a sleeping/blinded 'Toonces' captured after having dispatched her partner. So thats 2/6 of one opposing team down :devil One of your team, 'Elle' is waiting back at the Chateau.
You have 48 hours before the teams are due to meet back at the High Arcana "Court Yard". It has been about 8 hours since the games have begun.
As of now your all kind of strategizing in the tunnel after looting the two. So, go ahead and RP out what you would like to do. I will update as needed of course :smirk

I'm afb; how much did we start with, and what's the exp-per-level division? I've kept track of my exp gains; looks to be 3850 exp gained thus far, but I can't remember the by-level limits.

I'm at 19,450 (so 1,550 to next level) but are those of use who took a +1 LA template really penalized in roleplaying exp compared to those who took a "warrior" class level? I thought the LA was supposed to be free? Does this mean those who took that extra level will need more exp to advance?

Subdual coup de grace sounds like a decent idea. But I doubt she'll go right out from it.

I started out at 14600 so...
14600 + 900 + 1000 + 1800 + 900 = 19200
I'll update the sheet with the level-up stuff once we get to sleep, so I'll remember to add some prepared spells also.

Hey guys, I'm not sure what's happened to dna1, but this seems to have died somewhat (or at most is on life support). I'd take over fully, except that I'm currently at my limit from running my own PbPs. If I get more time in the future, I'll start it up again (or of course if dna1 resurfaces).
