Elizabeth asks one of the stronger guys to attempt that. Perhaps using two pieces of firewood (holding one against the lock, and striking it with the other).

wtf the only d20 modern equipment with hardness/hp are vehicles

In 3E, steel has a hardness of 10. I now acid does full damage against objects (as opposed to half for fire and electricity, and a quarter for cold). I'm not sure if hardness applies. There were debates about that, but I lean toward "yes".

it has continuing damage right?

I'm not sure. I was trying to find a citation for the damage values I had on my character sheet. I'm not sure where they actually came from. I have more vials, and theoretically, if I poured enough, it might act more like immersion.

It's listed on the sheet as "2d6 splash / 2d10 immersion". I'm not sure which this would be, so I'll roll both, and you can use which is applicable.

Rolled 2d10 : 5, 4, total 9

OOC: is it just the two of them going on, right now?

I don't know if Trapfinding is necessary to look for traps in d20 Modern, but Elizabeth will attempt to look for anything dangerous, if possible.

If she thinks it's safe, she'll pour one of her vials of potent acid on the bolt, or whatever equivalent mechanical part she thinks will separate the locking mechanism from the door.

Is it built into the door or attached to some other metal parts on the outside?

How is the door locked?

Elizabeth walks up to the door. Is the threshold covered with snow, or is it under a porch? If it's not clear, she wants to physically remove the snow, and check how big the gap is between the door and the threshold. A mouse can squeeze under a 6mm gap, and she intends to take advantage of that, if she can find such a gap.

Is there less snow on the wood and/or the area around it? Any tracks?

Elizabeth wants to go check it out with one of her lieutenants. Armed. She wants to survey the outside before going in.

OOC: I thought I remember Elizabeth searching really early and coming up with nothing. Is that correct?

Well, I'm largely back. I'm still unpacking, but I should be able to check in a bit, now.

So, between going to Canada to pick up a car, driving back, moving a bunch of stuff, then making a 20-hour drive to move to the reservation...

...I'm not going to be very available for the next five days or so. But, when I return, I'll have even better internet than I do now!
