Min/Max 3.x / Duskblade uncertainties abound...

I got to talk to my DM (about this) and as it turns out that would have been too much trouble for its worth (in my DM's eyes) and he came to the conclusion that Duskblade would fit the bill nicely. It's kind of a shame, but since I haven't used an actual melee character in forever I agreed to try it out.

Before it gets mentioned, I've read DM's Duskblade handbook at least 10 times now.

Now, since I'm starting at ECL 13, it makes going straight Duskblade sort of appealing. Thereafter though I have no clue. Given that I have access to flaws, the supposed feat-starvedness of this class is supposedly less of a detriment, but I'm not even sure on what to spend these on except for the benchmark that is Power Attack, Knowledge Devotion plus Arcane Strike. Versatile Spellcaster might end up getting picked, I don't know. Spellstrike from Dragon Compendium 147 looked neat so then I thought why the hell would I take so many feats/items/spells involving tripping. Also considering getting True Believer for the Gauntlets of the Blood-Lord (MIC 101) since I thought that maybe boosting my channeled spells could be a good idea; one feat slot and 5,120 gp seems like a good deal.

Still, that would leave a bunch of feats left to choose and I have no clue what to pick. A PrC might end up helping with that but then again I'm not sure about those too. Bear in mind though, I absolutely do not want a familiar. I hate them for some unknown reasons. Poison Spell looked nice until I realized Minor Creation couldn't be used with it. Obtain Familiar could help with this, but no.

I'm lost, please halp. :-\

Min/Max 3.x / Sorcerer into Malconvoker into..?

I'm not sure how to go on this one and would greatly appreciate any kind of input. I'm not looking for very detailed stuff mind you, only few suggestions. :tongue

I decided to go with Sorcerer as base for a couple reasons. First and foremost, I don't want to have to deal with prepared casting. Second, game's not exactly low powered but also not high powered so Ultimate Powertm is not exactly needed. Third, I'm expected to fill in melee support but I feel a few god's tricks will be needed for the party's sufficiency.

Having said that, my basic outline might simply be Sorcerer 6/Malconvoker 5. I'm starting at ECL 13 so there's that and I believe this character should be able to reach 20. Rapid Spell, Practical Metamagic and Rapid Metamagic should make up for the lack of Rapid Summoning Wizard gets.. I do have access to 2 flaws so I can make up for all those I guess.

My main concerns are finding a/some PrC/s which fit/s well with a Sorcerer base.

Min/Max 3.x / IC Paladin looking for a couple feats

Hey there. I have practically no clues as to what feat(s) should go in those few bolded spots, so I wanted to ask if anyone would have any ideas. Said character is supposed to be Paladin 20 and Initiate of Milil gives bardic music (I know the text isn't clear enough to say it does give bardic music and some people just don't agree it does, but let's assume it does give bardic music here).

Min/Max 3.x / Making a real 'shadowdancer'?

Hai gals/guys. I've been thinking about [insert thread's name here] and I'm coming here to ask if you could please help me gather ideas to make this concept work. I know it can work, I just want to refine it as much as possible without going that much overboard. I guess it is kind of clear what you'd want out of real 'shadowdancer', but for the sake of it I'll list a few things I want the results of this brainstorm to be able to do:

- Unlimited shadow jump.
- Hide in Plain Sight.
- Usual shadow manipulation sthick.
- Skillful in the very least.
- Scouting abilities through the roof.
- Can hold its own in combat.
- If even a caster/manifester/etc at all, it must be able to heart the theme as much as possible.

The class in the DMG is so bad that I don't want it to be mentioned in any way, maybe even as a dip because feat tax stinks, though it could fit in a build with Telflammar Shadowlord and whatnot I guess, but it absolutely needs unlimited shadow jump, else it's not cool enough. Things in the vain of Naberius faster healing + Ritual of Shadow Walking + Troll Blooded (+ Immunity to non-lethal) are welcomed.

I'd really appreciate anything you people can/could come up with, as I lack time to work on d&d as of late.
