Bio:
Torian Akikios was practically raised in the helm of a Dictator-class Cruiser assigned to cover Port Wander. For years he admired the confidence and bravery of the helmsmen as they steered the mighty cruiser through her maneuvers to deliver weapons fire and fighter craft into the midst of the enemy. He spent as much time as he could between other duties learning the steering of void craft of all forms. On his first assignment as the Master of the Helm of the frigate Solace on a convoy escort mission, Akakios lost most of his face when the Solace was boarded by some of the last remnants of the Meritech clans. two days of fighting between the two ships finally saw the pirates slain, but the Solace was practically scrap and her wounded were taken on by another ship until they could be dropped off at another Naval facility and the Solacelater towed back into port for repairs.
Akikios himself received augmentic surgery to repair his face that included a Mind Impulse Unit to allow him greater familiarity with his ships. No longer content to simply obey orders, Akakios resigned from the Fleet to persue a more... lucrative career.
