I've requested a subforum for the incarnum stuff.

Given that the subforum seems to be taking a while, do you mind if I give some of my thoughts here?

You don't love us! You're just using us for optimization advice. *sob*

In all seriousness, though, welcome back, stranger. I hope your neck troubles clear up (I suggest a hot shower or bath. A long one.)

 :D

Tried a shower. Didn't help...I'll probably try a nice soak next after work.

Now that I'm back, I should probably fix my avatar...there!

It's not likely anyone will.  The police are willing to discuss the teen involved but not the officer, and they are very unwilling to produce any information (such as his report) which could clear him.

There are also surfacing reports that this particular town has a long history of police brutality, including an incident in which the beat a suspect who turned out to be the wrong man and then charged him for getting blood on their uniforms once they found out they had the wrong guy.

 :twitch

That's almost cartoonishly evil.

I fell asleep in my chair about half a day ago and it did something to my neck/head. Now I have to keep them in a specific position or get horrible shooting pain. Sleeping for a couple of hours helped temporarily but it came back after I got up. Praying that it goes away with time.

I also notice that the last time I was one here was back in April  :-\. I love you guys, really! I just don't have much to say here.

The Spell Sovereign PRC from Dragon mag #357 (page 76) gets the ability to summon a Living Spell for a familiar. You may want to add it in when you come back to this.

Something interesting: Dragon mag #302 (page 24) actually includes a RAW table for expanding the SM list. Do you have access to that particular issue?

You can get a fair number of posts in PF optimization threads on GITP.

A creepy "fluff" fun find that i posted on Gitp:

Quote from: 123456789blaaa
Daelkyr half-bloods are a race that come from unborn babies corrupted in the womb by Daelkyr (lovecraftian entities trapped beneath the world of Eberron).

Quotes from Magic of Eberron explain how they're created:

Quote from: MoE, page 39
Daelkyr half-bloods are born of pregnant mothers who were either influenced by close proximity to a daelkyr confinement cylinder or infected by a breed leech (see page 154).

Quote from: MoE, page 155
Breed leeches are an extraordinary leap in daelkyr corruption magic. Instilled in each leech is a terrible infection that corrupts a regular pregnancy if allowed to run its course. The resulting child is born a daelkyr halfblood (see page 37).

Now as I said before, Half-Bloods are a race (not a template) that look almost exactly like humans except for the aberrant symbiotes that are attached to them.

What's creepy is that the above quotes do not specify the mother has to be humanoid. As long as it's pregnant and a mother, the baby can be corrupted. Attach a breed leech to a pregnant dog and a human-looking baby with a slimy thing attached to it will come out. A very unpleasant surprise for owners watching a dog birth  :puke

EDIT: For those not familiar with Eberron, let me specify that the Daelkyr Half-Blood is an LA 0 playable race (with no RHD). You can play a character whose parents are literally dogs.

I live to see another year!

I feel great when wishing everyone a happy new year so 2014 has been pretty great so far  :D

Happy new year everybody  :D. Let's hope to see many more!

My resolution is to try and stop relying on others (especially my great family) so much. I'm going to try and build self-reliance  :).

There was a guy on Gitp called Thanquol that made a thread about learning to draw. He resolved to fill an A4 page with drawings every day. Here's the first thread. It's been quite successful and there are a bunch of continuation threads. Perhaps looking through the threads (and doing the same thing?) might help you.

The 3.5 update booklet for the MMII gives Cloaked Ape's an LA of +2...despite them only having an Int of 3  :huh.

DnD stuff but it's not worth its own thread by itself: danzibr's Totemist Handbook is 95% done! This is THE most extensive, detailed, and current handbook for Totemists out there right now. A massive amount of work went into it and it deserves to be known about.

I'm trying to think up antonyms for "weakly" that are also adjectives and it's driving me up the wall. None of the ones I come up with sound good in what I'm using them for :banghead. I feel like I'm having a major brain fart right now because this should be simple as heck.

So, I went to donate blood today to help a friend of a friend's dad. All cool, even if the nurse did have a hard time finding my goddamn vein.

Hours later I get a call from the hospital asking me a bunch of questions that I had already answered when I filled out the form. Then came really weird questions - had I been X-ray'd recently, what did I work on, had I undergone radiation therapy.

When I ask what it's all about, the answer is, verbatim, word for word, this:

"Well sir, it appears that your blood... glows."

"My blood what?"

"It... glows. One of our nurses was about to put it in the freezer, and when she walked into the room, she noticed the bag was... glowing."

They're testing it right now, but they won't be able to give me a straight answer until Monday.  >:(
