"Well wouldn't anyone looking for us expect us to be traveling with a gypsy caravan, then? If that's the easiest, safest way?

I guess since we need information more than anything that it makes sense to get in with the gypsies as much as possible, though. I've heard they know more about this place than pretty much everyone else."

Mercutio looks unusually thoughtful and brooding for a moment, then it passes and he says "Freakshow, huh? I've got to see what passes for a freakshow in this place... " and walks towards the tent.

Riek asks Mercutio while following him, What do you have in mind?

Alphonse looks pointedly at his scaly friend, then glances at the talking sparrow, then at the cthuloid monstrosity walking next to him, and shrugs his four arms.
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

Mercutio laughs and says "Think they'll try to recruit us?"

"I think our original plan still seems good: by boat to Borca, then on foot." Mercutio says as he turns away from the "freak show" with seeming reluctance.

And traveling by boat will make it harder for Mott to ambush us.

Gevyen thinks for a moment before answering you. Well.. I guess you might expect to look for us with Gypsies. But the Vistani have many different clans. Most of which are notorious for not helping outsiders with anything more than simple parlor tricks and goods. But if we are lucky enough to travel with some, they can navigate the mists. So tracking us would be extremely difficult. Powerful Vistani can even travel through closed domains.

Mercutio, unable to contain his curiosity, walks briskly over to the "freak show" tent and says "How much?"

Gevyens mouth drops as he see's Mercutio enter the freakshow. Well.. guess we have to wait for him to finish that before we can head to the docks. I wouldn't mind grabbing some hot food before we find a boat.

You all see Mercutio enter the large Freakshow tent ahead of you further into the market.

Yes, Gevyen! I think it is an excelent idea. We don't know when we'll have the opportunity of eating something cooked recently again.

Then he uses his trinket to send a message to all his coleagues: <Mercutio, we are going to grab a bite somewhere close. Please be careful and keep in constant contact with us. If something bad happens, we'll come for you. And I think we should not prolong our stay here. These people don't seem to be so friendly.>

As the group walks around, Riek whispers to whoever is beside him pointing to an old wagon with a strange simbol: That simbol! Have you ever seen it? It's somehow familiar, but I can't remember where I've seen it before.

"I've never seen that symbol, no," Zulketev replies, having spared only a glance at the group of wagons.  Continuing in a whisper, he says "I think we should leave as soon as possible... There are too many people, and I feel like we're being watched.  This was a bad idea..."

Gevyen looks concerend as he heads over to a nearby wagon that is selling smoked fish along with a variety of other local seafood. He turns back to your group and gives a big 'thumbs up' as he places an order. The happy little gnome definitely looks out of place here, you can see that your not the only ones who notice that as well. His happy demeanor seems to be attracting looks and conversation from lots of people in his immediate vicinity.

Zulketev ponders the congregated mass of people he sees before him, still getting a very bad feeling from the whole situation.

Alphonse hesitates a moment.  He really doesn't have much interest in the Freak Show - indeed, he's likely shared a barracks with worse than anything they have to offer.  On the other hand, allowing a friend to wander off on his own would be beyond foolish, even in this place of relative safety.

Reaching a decision, he turns to the rest of his companions.  Go on ahead.  I'll stay with Mercutio and make sure nothing happens.  He shuffles a bit, the gaze of the crowds making him uneasy.  I'll probably feel better inside anyway.
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

Kwah-Yah is in seething anger.

Slavers? He lets out. Let's murder the lot and find out from their corpses if there's anything worth talking about.

His voice is deathly serious.
