Medved should have martial proficiency in repeating crossbows so that they can ride their bears into battle spraying bulle--bolts in every and all directions hands free :D

You know I totally forgot they have (fantasy) tanks, so it makes sense for them to have smaller ballistics too.  That, and close proximity to Promotor.  Taking that.

Bears are now the official mount of Medved.  RIDE ME CLOSER!  I WANT TO HIT THE GOBLINS IN THE FACE!!!

YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSS!!!

NOW! I just need to replace my future hippogriff for Great Rift Skyguard with a MIGHTY WINGED BEAR!

When it comes to "crazy and impractical Nazi superweapons", Medved usually takes it.  They had a strong ground force, but what about the air?

ENTER THE WINGED BEAR CORPS.

Unlike the "Giant Stone Dwarf Mecha (powered by cats)", the "Rock Armor with Lava Fountains", and the "Oversized Hammer Spider", the Winged Bear Corps was actually a great success.  However the corps never grew as the dwarves realized they have a general fear of flying, and their seat belt technology was sadly lacking behind.  Will the glorious Medved Winged Bear Corps ever see their limelight before terrible fanatical Jingu kamikaze samurai catapults destroy their innocent civilian towns and villages?  ONLY IF YOU JOIN GLORIOUS MILITARY!  JOIN NOW!!!!

It fits because drogue wings (from the same book as that great rift skyguard prc) have a 50% chance of breaking upon use.
You use them when you jump off your flying mount's back.
This is why the class also have a feature to instead just treat yourself as a falling object later on  :lmao

Edit: Reminds me, I have added the gifted 2cat to Axejack's inventory.
I have no idea what this is, but I'll no doubt find a use for it eventually!

I finally looked up this "Great Rift Skyguard" since I actually am not familiar with it.

...

...my god.  Why did I not know about this before?  It is the greatest thing ever.

DROPDWARVES.  SKYANVILS.  It is madness.  Beautiful, unrestrained madness!

With the accusation of "kamikaze samurai catapults" and now this, I suddenly envision their wars were nothing but both of them catapulting their troops through the air, landing in the enemy catapult (or splatting), and being catapulted back for another go.

Damn, Medved and Jingu are hardcore.

Pathfinder WBL for 3rd seems to be 3000 gp, not 2700 as in 3.5. Should we go with that number (what I used), or 2700?

Ok, I've got my character sheet up. I actually went with a spiked chain, as much as I'd like an appropriate polearm. I need to finish the fluff for the character, but I'm just about good to go.

They were. But I'm assuming that since we can choose to take a 3.5 version of a feat, we can choose the 3.5 version of a weapon too. Wasn't that what the katana conversation was largely about?

No, that was entirely about weapon proficiencies. :/

Indeed.

Though you can indeed also pick the 3.5 Spiked Chain.  PF Spiked Chain isn't worth the feat.

1) If I make my profession Coroner, or Forensic Examiner, can I use it to try and figure out cause of death, how long creatures have been dead, etc?  :D

2) Also, are my items OK? Especially the robe, and the alchemical items? I asked earlier, but it was during a flurry of posts and I think it was overlooked. :P

Here are the stats from the robe. It was originally from here. It's basically like the Masterwork Potion Belt from Forgotten Realms, but it holds up to 1000 small items instead of just 6...
Quote
Robe of Pockets
In many ways similar to a bag of holding, his robe is sewn with rows upon rows of pockets, resembling a material component pouch sewn into a robe as worn by many spellcasters. 1000 of these pockets are small; each of these can hold one diminutive item like one arrow, bolt or other ammunition, a wand, scroll, potion bottle, or most material components. Retrieving or storing an item in any of these pockets is a free action. The 1001st pocket opens the lining of the robe and allows direct access to all the stored items. This allows large objects to be stored, but storing or retrieving something through the lining of the robe is a move action. All of these items are held in a single extradimensional space, whose total capacity is 10 cu. ft. or 100 lbs.
Moderate conjuration; CL 9th; Craft Wondrous Item, secret chest; Price 2,200 gp; Weight 1 lb (ignored when worn).

3) Do psionicists also need a catalyst for their powers, like spellcasters do in this game?

4) And you know... because I have to... would you allow a Vitalist to pick up Mindsight with his Telepathy ability? It only works on members of his collective, and up to 15th level, the range is medium (100+10'/lvl). After 15th, it extends to the entire plane of existence... and at 20th it even crosses planar boundaries.

In the interest of actually being able to use this... how about we add some limitations on it, like saying it only extends as far as the distance to the farthest member of the collective?

Sorry it took so long to reply, I had to do some research for this one.

1) Yes.  Usually I let Heal do that, but a Profession is probably even more accurate at determining about forensics.

2) Your link is broken but the item seems fine.  Is that homebrew?  Who made it out of curiosity?  Either way, approved.

3) Yes.  Transparency is also on, so SR=PR and whatnot.

4) I had to think, mindsight with that range, phew... but then it only works on allies, so ironically though it has a huge range its not very good as a radar and more as a status spell on your allies.  Normal telepathy just picks up any non-mindless creature, but this one would invalidate enemies as valid targets.  So I suppose that would be balanced.

Mudada.

Ah, so that's how you'd interpret it. OK, not really worth a feat, but it seems fair.

I don't know who made the robe. I just found it a while back and really liked it, and so used it on an earlier character. Good thing I copied the text... Looks like the author deleted the original page for some reason. AFAIK it's homebrew.

Ok, I've made a few changes to my character and build, and finished the backstory.

I finally switched from swordsage to crusader, it simplified my weapon choice (I was feeling irritated because I really wanted a polearm, for fluff reasons, but the only martial discipline with a polearm is White Raven, which Swordsages don't have. And crusader has its own advantages (more HP, BAB, and a bonus to his Fort save, not to mention better self-healing).

I believe I am good to go.

Does it have to be a weapon from that discipline? That doesn't actually matter much for anyone except the swordsage (due to his Discipline Focus ability). Guisarme gives you reach, but otherwise is almost identical to a halberd.

There is that monk feat from Dragon/Dragon Compendium (Pole Fighter) that lets you flurry with polearms also. Requires Wpn Focus, unfortunately.

I'll be making some fluff updates shortly.  We're almost ready to go, looks like FlamingCow's sorcerer-to-be is the last one.  I'll drop him a line soon, when he's done we should be able to start.  I'll try and get my gear ready.

Well, I'm going to run with swordsage, and I'd rather not waste the discipline focus(es) that he gets. Oddly enough, the only requirement for selecting a discipline focus is to have manuevers in it, regardless of where you got it. So to have White Raven discipline focus, I either needed to blow a feat or take a level in crusader or warblade. Hence this. :)

Also, part of the fun of the Manuever Master Monk is that his flurry isn't limited by weapon selection or armor (though other monk features remain limited by armor). I've given up my normal flurry of blows for for flurry of manuevers.
