I just noticed that darksun clerics only get light armor proficiency...

So I'll have to rework my armor and equipment in consideration of this (I had planned on wearing chitinous full plate...).

edit: OK, done with that and with his prepared spell selection. In the process, I discovered that he is proficient with both the alhulak and forearm axe, both of which are insanely cool. So I changed his weapons up as well.

I think he's ready to go, barring more unseen errors. I have a tiny bit more gold to spend, which I should probably use on alchemical items...

It's mostly there as a nudge towards using DS specific gear. Which, as Phae just found, can have some rather nifty items hiding in it.

I have no idea. D&D often has quirks like that. I'm sure Phae would happily take on burden of that extra 2k.

I'm actually really curious if there are any new alchemical items in Darksun like "still suits" from Dune, etc. I'm sure there are either there or in Sandstorm. I just haven't had a chance to look.

As far as I have found, there are splash globes(basically flasks with extra options for putting them in a ball and launching it from a weapon) got some, liquid light and darkness (neat, but not sure they are worth it), sand storm has some inserting stuff, but I grab a bunch of it. I wish I could find more dark sun stuff, but haven't found any. And really, I'm paying full price fit ask the alchemical stuff when I could craft it cheaper.

Have you been checking out Athasian Emporium? It's basically DS's version of the MIC.
