Strom's Interview: Ravage
« on: March 04, 2012, 03:21:55 PM »
Detective Strom seems a decent sort -- he hasn't talked down to Ravage even once.

"Master Ravage, can you describe to me the events that occurred at the Coliseum yesterday around 1st bell, Evernight Standard Time?  Coliseum records show that you were involved in an exhibition at the time."

Ravage pauses for a moment as his mechanical mind retrieves the requested information.  "The fight, or exhibition if you prefer, was nothing particularly out of the ordinary.  It was a themed match, I fought against an organic with the same abilities as myself.  After a time I defeated him, but it was not a blood match so he still lives.  Is there any other information you require?"

"The records then show that a guest of the Coliseum, a man named Salvador Macharra who had won a sizable sum in a wager on your exhibition, requested to meet you.  Did such a meeting occur?  If so, what did you discuss?"

"A man came to meet me, yes.  He did not tell me his name and I did not ask.  He looked me over and expressed interest in my services, though that could have meant one of many things.  He might have wanted to purchase me so that I could fight for him and make him money.  On the other hand, sometimes the more wealthy residents of Evernight like to rent fighters as I'm sure you are aware.  I doubt he wanted me for intimate company or for him to be seen on my arm so if he did not want to buy me outright he wanted to rent me to protect him.  The sight of a well known fighter usually keeps away the less savory elements of the dome."

"And did you see the man again?  Did he contact you?"

"He did not.  He might have had contact with the sentient who currently owns me but I would not have heard about that."

Strom nods.  "One final question, Ravage."  He leans forward.  "Was the fight rigged?"

Ravage shakes his head.  "Not on my end.  I do not compete in rigged fights.  The whole point in competing is to become better, stronger.  To better learn the capabilities I was made with and how to shape my body.  Why all of the questions?"

Strom sighs.  "Salvador Macharra was murdered several hours ago, in a fashion which prevents resurrection or conversion.  I'm trying to determine the method, motive, and perpetrator.

Thank you, Ravage -- if you'd return to the waiting room, I have some other people to interview.  I may have more questions for you later."

Ravage nods.  "I don't see how I can be of any help but I am at your service for as long as my owner allows."
