THIS is my preliminary build. I've not decided on all my feats, but I
really want to start with Apprentice: Entertainer and Mercantile Background. I'm taking suggestions for feats, skills, and gear. (Feels odd to petition my GM for advice, but if you'd prefer I not, I'll ponder it more in my off time.)
MORE QUESTIONS!
Do I get to determine the stats of my thralls?
I like the INT bonus to HP from Initiate of the Faerie Mysteries, but requiring sex for it feels
weird. May we just make a version of it that has no racial requirement and that just grants one's INT modifier or CON modifier to HP, whichever is higher?
Where in the world would I most likely start?
Do you use
body slot affinities? In short, if you make an item that offends WotC's sensibilities (like Boots of INT, because I want to be able to think on my feet), then I must pay 50% more. (I'd
very much prefer to nix this rule.)
If I stack a buncha effects on the same item (+INT,
teleport 3/day, turns wine into goat cheese at will...), must I pay more for the extra effects? (Normally, I must pay +50% for the cheaper effects.)
Do you allow custom metaphysical items? I'd clear all effects by you first.
For Apprentice: Entertainer, may I swap Perform as a class skill for Handle Animal? I hoped to be an animal trainer. (It goes well with my menagerie.)
For Apprentice, I normally get +2 skill points, but are these multiplied at L1? If not, why do I merely get 2 skill points instead of enough skill points to max them at L1?
For our game, can Swordsages start with Trapfinding and Search and Disable Device as class skills?
In our game, do Swordsages get x6 skill points at L1? (It seems too cool
not to include!)
What are the limits on what animals I can purchase at character creation? A Warbeast Fleshraker is only 475G.
Regarding psicrystals, you mentioned we could use the
Pathfinder rules on psicrystals. I just noticed that in Pathfinder in the
psicrystal entry, it specifically says that psionic PrCs progress psicrystals. May we use this? This is in contrast to the confusing and contradictory rules of 3.5. See
the psicrystal (Psion page) for "Psicrystal abilities are based on the owner’s levels in psionic classes" and
Improved Psicrystal (feat) for "From now on, when determining the abilities of your psicrystal, treat your manifester level as one higher than your normal manifester level." I think they
meant manifester level or HD or total level in psionic classes for Psicrystal Affinity, but they got confused. Psicrystals are seemingly meant to be more powerful than familiars anyway.
Does a Psicrystal's
telepathic link qualify it for Mindsight? If so, what are the limits on Mindsight usage? Does anything change if the Psicrystal instead uses its telepathic link, gained at L5?
For the feat Persistent Power (
Hyperconscious 43), let's assume I have 2 psionic focuses and I'm focused with both. If I expend one, do I lose my Persistent Power? (I think I shouldn't, since I'm still psionically focused.)
What's the highest level of spell or power that's considered commonly for sale in Eberron? Does it scale with my ECL?
Since astral constructs are Constructs, and Constructs are immune to any effect requiring a Fortitude save unless it affects objects or is harmless, does that mean astral constructs are immune to
energy stun: cold? What about for other energy powers that don't specifically mention affecting objects, like
energy current?
In your game, how does the feat Metapower (
Complete Psionic 63) work with Linked Power (
Complete Psionic 62)? Metapower is ambiguously worded. It
seems like it reduces the PP cost of a metapsionic feat when used with a specific power, but that seems very narrow. (After all, who
wouldn't use it with
synchronicity and Linked Power/Quicken Power?) Also, can Metapower apply to the same feat/power combo more than once?
For Linked Power, is the second power considered an augment of the first?
How would you adapt
Arch Psion for 3.5? (The entry requirements are especially odd in 3.5.)
Are custom legacy items (from
Weapons of Legacy) allowed?
Level 1 stances and maneuvers require an initiator level of 1. Normally 3.5 rounds fractions down. Does this mean I must have at least 2 HD if I'm not an initiator to take Martial Stance or Martial Study?
Does
assay spell resistance (
Spell Compendium) affect powers as a StP Erudite?
Any objections to buying 50 +1 Manifester Arrows (
Magic Item Compendium 38) for the price of a +2 weapon? (Each is a separate source of 5PP. Sure, I can't spend more PP than my ML, and I can only use the PP from one of these arrows at a time, but that's pretty much unlimited pockets of 5PP every day!)
