The first combat to catch your eye appears to be a Human, but his eyes glow lightly with blue energies. His flesh is the pale colour apparent to those who have lived in the north for long periods of time. What mostly catches your eye though, is the horrific twisting abomination for a face he is wearing. It is a swirling mass of protoplasm, constantly shaping and reforming eyes, mouths, ears, and other facial features. Some sort of dark, shifting, cloak-like mass of energy is draped over his shoulders. Drool occasionally slips out of one of these mouths, and it hisses where it strikes the stone. Strange claws protrude from his legs. He appears very hardy.
The next one appears to be a machine-man of some sort. Tracery of various metals is etched across his frame, forms strange patterns on his skin. Negative energy occasionaly crackles along the frame of his large, powerful looking arms. He is calmly sizing up his foes. In his eyes, you can see no hint of mercy or compassion, only a simple, logical desire to survive.
Looking further along, you notice a Cat-woman of some sort. Her body appears to be slender, but powerful, as her lithe figuremoves effortlessly inside the enclosure. She appears to be wearing the outfit of a monk, but her movements don't match that of any known fighting styles. It is likely that she is far faster than anyone you have ever fought before, and that she could strike with the fury and grace of the mountain lion.
Beyond that, you notice what appears to be a small, humanoid jackal. His eyes are a burning red, and his ebon fur is short, like that of a predator. His movements are swift and sure, and his eyes glide over you, looking intently for a weakness. You have the nervous feeling that he is sizing up your anatomy for the perfect strike. His small size, coupled with his speed may make him tough to strike.
Even further along, you notice a Humanoid. He is clothed in the simple garb of hunters and trapers, and actually looks fairly ordinary. His hair and eyes are dark, and his dark green coat is tailored tightly to his skin. The only thing abnormal about him that you can tell, is that his form radiates a sense of cruelty and despair. He appears quite agile, but dosen't seem to be much of a threat.
This pedestal is empty, as far as you can tell.
This pedestal barely holds a mountainous being. It resembles nothing so much as a beached whale, with legs and fists! A 15 foot tall mass of cetacean flesh and blubber. It's hide looks incredibly thick and tough to penetrate, and it's movements belie a grace and wisdom you would not expect from such a wall of meat. He appears incredibly strong, and put an instant in his arms would reduce to to a fine paste. You get the feeling that he wrestles bears in his spare time.
As you gaze across, you see another woman. Her eyes and hair are dark, and she is dressed in a fairly ordinary outfit. However, you notice wings growing from her back, the colour of a rainbow. She appears to be planning, quickly. Her eyes seem a little distant, and still reeling from whoever that figure was.
Continuing forwards, you notice a dwarf-like figure. He is wearing an embroidered cloak, set with several indsitinguishable seals. All craftsdwarfsmanship is of the highest quality. His build is much like that of a rock, set strong against any and all assaults, and he appears resolute aginst the hordes before him. His gear is ordinary leather.
Next, a small spider is sitting on the pedestal, looking quite annoyed. It is roughly the size of a human's hand, and is scuttling around like the horrible little monster it is. Fiendish intelligence is obvious in it's movements, and strange energies radiate from it. It is positively hideous.
Finally, you notice a Kobold. The little reptillian bastard is utterly focused on the task at hand. His movements are quick, and practiced, but correspond to no known school of fighting. In fact, he almost mvoes like a rogue, with an emphasis on swift, decisive movements. Occasionally, sparks can be seen to glint off of his claws. Although small, he could be quite deadly, and you have a feeling he may be difficult to injure.
