Spider looks around vainly for a water fountain and Nanashi finishes up his conversation.  The attendant returns, followed by a young woman.  She appears be carrying a number of odd technological devices on her.

"Hey! You're the people Kuro told me about, right?  I'm Io.  She just called."

I wobble upright and extend my hand for the shakening.

"Ah, yes.  I'm Spider.  She said you were to send us to Wonderland?"
“Hast thou not felt in forest gloom, as gloaming falls on dark-some dells, when comes a whisper, hum and hiss; savage growling sounds a-near, dazzling flashes around thee flicker, whirring waxes and fills thine ears: has thou not felt then grisly horrors that grip thee and hold thee?”

Nanashi stands and raises his hand in greeting.  "I am Nanashi."

"Send you to Wonderland, hmm?  She wouldn't have happened to give you a note or anything, would she have?"

"Ah, yes, that would be the letter that Spider is holding."  Nanashi, out of courtesy, doesn't mention his comrades attempts to use it as a phone, since he is obviously still under the effect of some oni poisons

I hand her the note.

"Incidentally, is there anywhere I can get water or something?  I'm a bit low on fluids."

She glances over the note.

"Ah, okay, that's all good then.  Emeria, get these two tickets to Wonderland, okay?  And show this one to a water fountain."

The attendant nods, then gestures to Spider to follow her, and walks off.

After the attendant leads spider to a water fountain, she walks off, presumably to get tickets.  She returns with tickets, and leads you back to where Nanashi is waiting.

"You're gate will be in tower C 2, at 12:00 PM.  Have a nice day."

She bows and walks off.

As they proceed, Nanashi's hand clasps around his fist.

"Ah!  We get sidetracked so easily.  I never told you what happened the other day, when we met with Kuro.  Afterwards I was walking back and met this woman in an alley.  she started speaking the Tooryanse rhyme.  I repeated after her and walked through a gate.  I wound up being teleported to what I think was the godly zone of the Kyouto shrine where we have been staying.  I met the Kyouto Kami and she seems to be the one who was speaking through everyone when we asked The Question.  She says that she has been trying to contact us."

Nanashi begins to whisper:

"She says that...  there is a goddess who is trapped in Welgaia.  The goddess Kaguya.  And that we need to save her."

Nanashi backs up.

I nod.

"'Kay.  So, Wonderland, then?"

Time passes,  and eventually the time for your departure arrives.  An attendant takes your tickets and leads you into a small room with a magical circle inscribed on the floor.  There are a handful of other people with you, so it is a bit cramped.

"We will be opening the gate shortly.  I hope that you all enjoy your time in Wonderland."

The attendant then leaves the room.  Nothing happens for a short while.  Then the world changes.

You two are standing in a forest.  Alone.  The others who were with you don't seem to have been brought along.  Or, at least, they weren't brought along to where you were.

Nanashi quickly expands his stance now that he has room and looks around, making sure that they are not in Immediate danger.

He also looks around for any indication of where they may be.  Wonderland, yes, but he believes that they were supposed to find their way to an area of spades?

Feeling surprisingly better, I look around.  "So, this is Wonderland," I murmur to myself, fingering the tooth in my pocket.

"Well, I'm not very sure where we are at, aside from- hopefully- Wonderland.  We should look around for some indication of where we are.  You up for that?"

I nod and give Nanashi a gap-toothed grin.

"Let's do this."
