"Twelve oh three PM, Avery was successful in defeating one of the Unown controlling the subject, further victory is unlikely, but I shall press on for science."

NEXT ROUND, GO!

"Ralts, Emotional pokemon.  This pokemon is rumored to become synchronized with its owner's emotions.  It is common to see one pantomime its owner mid battle.  Dark or Ghost moves will scare the oversized pants off it."

The Burst of Flame proves to be too much for the Ralts to handle.

Period: Argh, that jerk.  Running away before he could apologize...  Oh well, at least he dropped something useful.
Period: Now then...  What's this thing...  Oh, right!  It's one of those healy things Pearl told me about.  I just...

Period applies the potion to Xavier.

Your pokedex retroactively springs to life, having told you:

Magnemite:  Enigmagnet pokemon.  This pokemon levitates by use of magnetic fields, as such, compasses and iron swords don't work as well it its presence.  Steel/Electric:  Try ground attacks for maximum effectiveness.

The notebook is a composite notebook, Written on the front is "Unown:  The Unconquered Enemy" underneath the title is written "Phillip Chestnut"

The handwritten interior is hard to make your way through due to bad handwriting and general insanity.  There are several crazy theories about Unown, the introduction itself spouts craziness, from "The Unown know humans to be inferior beings"  to "At the hive of every Unown "Ruin"(a term he is using to describe a large gathering of Unown), there is a door to some alternate world where the gods live.

Wow, he must be insane.

Xavier perks up and is back on his feet- err... back in the air.

The three of you continue down your path, a path less traveled seeing much more traffic today.

You reach the mouth of a cave at which the path ends.

Period: Ooh, a cave~  What was it about caves...  Oh, right!  Zachary warned me about caves!  There's tons of Zubats in caves!
Period: Well, we'll be fine, right!?  Lets go!

Period strides into the cave.

You are engulfed in darkness, but upon your entrance into the cave a small beeping sound is made and a string of lights leading forward lights up the next few meters.  It looks like you'll have enough light to move around in, while not being too much of a disturbance to the native pokemon.

You press forward at a normal pace and take note that the lights turn off behind you as you proceed forward  It always takes a moment for a light to come on, but they have been mostly faithful.  Several small pokemon peer out from holes in the wall, but are far too shy to even think about confronting you.  The more you look around, the more you realize that this area of cave seems pretty undisturbed.  You hear a bubbling sound coming from further up the cave, it seems to be just out of range of your bubble of light.
