Guys, guys, guys.

Let's just agree teenagers are terrible people.

Can't agree, I know some decent teenagers.   :P

Yeah, I also crossed paths with some teenagers that were some of the nicest people I've met in my life.

Like Gen X was known to be a bunch of cynical latchkey children with no goal or aim in life but in midlife they have a happy work/life balance while being some of the hardest workers in the US since WWII.

being a latchkey was nice.... and no cameras for evidence...

That's sure as hell the truth.

I don't remember when exactly I started seriously posting over on 339 but the archived bg boards has posts from 10 years ago (with minimal digging) which would have put me in my early 20's. I could very well have started being a part of this community as a teenager.

I have no idea why you would throw the age of 16 out there.
Via emancipation most 16 year olds can legally considered adults. This can go as low as 14 if you live in the state of California. So for comparison, the US census bureau described the Baby Boomer generation to cover 19 years and with your ambiguity in already loosely defined term you are trying to cover up to 26 years. Whoopdeedoo indeed, so I think we can see why we both know that I don't care about your personal scale. :P

I know right?

They have a freaking term for it now. It's called "free range parenting" (opposed to simply parenting). There is a famous 2009 book released explaining how to do it and why it's good for your children. 2009, the trend already cycled out and back in again almost ten years ago. Do you feel old yet?

Sorry, I don't look for loopholes in normal everyday conversations because that's not how normal socializing works.

I don't know anyone who considers 16 an adult under normal circumstances and normal circumstances are what should be considered because we were talking real life not TO.

Do you now? So why did you follow up with an appeal based on your personal definition on what is or isn't an adult with someone you whose opinion isn't something you care about?  :poke :poke :poke

On another tangent through, I think this is the right video.

Because this is a public conversation and not PMs so just because you have a tendency to tell people they are full of shit when they say something that you disagree with doesn't mean that other people automatically agree with you and so I like having my point of view be known.

Also that has nothing to do with me saying that normal socializing doesn't involve finding loopholes in the terms that other people use to attack what they say.

I would give my collective student body's collection of left testicles for that sort of drop. We are starting to cook slowly over here.

Were we actually ranting? Like I thought it was pretty clear I was poking at yoy for the fun of it

Also I'd just like to say I called it. About six months ago I think.

Oh I know you were, it's not like we haven't gotten into spats like that before...

It probably wasn't actually ranting but it would have gotten there soon enough most likely.

I think you overvalued my concern over a pointless language debate.

I did link the right video but here is a time correction. Watch to about 6:20 to get the main point. Then you can disagree with it, close the video in disgust, claim you are way better than that, offer up the excuse that it's not your problem/fault, then type up a nasty message to reply with you millennial scum:shakefist

The mod would be Strat. He's a mod.

And the fact that you just start fights for fun and then drop them when you get bored would be the thing that I would have ranted about.  :P

Nah, the moderators went through a loose hiring to moderate the forum according to the creator's rules and have both a series of logged events subject to peer review and feedback system for appeals. All actions they take also come with an explanation and multiple warnings are issued before any temp bans are. And if I'm not mistaken they also have a green colored name and it says moderator below that. Using an appeal to become forum host to promote your self above everyone else, deleting arguments you've been in to respin the events in a later telling, kicking people for fun, and enforcing your own personal view of things rather than the forum's decades long history of handling things sounds to me like something else entirely.

And the fact that you just start fights for fun and then drop them when you get bored would be the thing that I would have ranted about.  :P
Did you consider it a fight? My main point that millennial is a subjective term used by people with little understanding about it is something you helped prove and you never refuted it. You seem to have no real problem with me calling the entire thing pointless either.

What you could rant about is how no one ever knows what I'm up to.
And I like it like that. :D

He has mod authority, that makes him a mod. He doesn't have mod under his name because he has a higher title (admin= mod+). It doesn't matter what it sounds like to you, the system classifies him as a mod and thus he is a mod.

Yes SorO, you were starting a fight with me. When you use deliberately antagonistic language it is a fight.

Arguing with you about things outside of homebrew or Char Op is always pointless.
