Any DDO players here?
Prime32:
So after a few years I was thinking of getting back into it, and it's more fun with a group. Anyone game?
EDIT: Orien server, looks like.
It's free to download, you just can't access some of the more exotic races and classes. (getting a VIP subscription unlocks everything, and you still have a Premium account afterwards; you can buy stuff individually but it's not as efficient)
EDIT: Apparently there is some kind of referral reward, so if anyone gets the game because of this post, tipping me off would be nice. :p Already got three people to agree. Anyone else who wants a cube speak up and see if anyone else will take your referrals.

So it is free to play now then?
I wanted to try it back when you had to subscribe for it but my brother convinced me to play WoW......
Isn't this game set in Eberron?
Do you need a really good system to play?If not I will consider downloading if I can find the space in my hard disk and spare time to play it.....
Edit:Typos

I used to play, although I haven't in a year and a half or so. It was fun, but got a bit repetitive in the end. I think I ultimately got an 8th or 9th level Rogue/Ranger and a 10th level Paladin, though I don't remember which server.
Note that as a free-to-play player, you're also limited to a small subset of the available content, too. There's a healthy supply of free quests up to level 6 or so, but it dries up rapidly beyond that.

Yeah, it's been free to play for a long while now. It's set in Eberron, although they recently expanded into other campaign settings (mostly FR) with some of the new content.
You don't need a great system to play. I played just fine (albeit at minimal graphics and with some frame rate issues in large battles) on a laptop that's currently 7 years old. This was about 2 years ago, I think.

However, you do need to have Windows... :(

I've played it before and gotten up to 6th level or so with a fighter/rogue, but I eventually stopped since I felt it ate up more of my time and hard drive space than I liked, plus it was a but difficult being on my own. Sure I was in a guild for a bit, but it always felt like I was alone.
