Rald's blaster discharges into the scouts side and blasts him from his seat. Rald takes the controls and notices immediately that they are sluggish and the speeder cannot reach anywhere near what it's top speed should be.

Kel manages to gain some ground but does not do well to avoid the sweeping claws of the dying Rancor. It's claws rend at him but the reinforced plating on his combat suit keep him from harm.

Arryn leaps out of the swamp and Silten takes a more focused interest in his mounts progress. The natural tunnels pose no problems to the mechanic, now free of distractions and he is able to guide his kybuk well around the last death throws of the Rancor. Eventually coming within sight of his companions again as they descend into a river valley.

Tuokool runs into some trouble at first navigating the slope downward at such speeds which slows him up a bit but Razus makes up the lost ground quickly.

As the group descends into the river valley the terrain wipes by but up ahead you can see the scout approaching the river. Across from it looks to be some walled outpost with a watchtower and large transmission antenna.

The Scout skims across the water's surface, the repulsor engines throwing up a wake and splitting the water. Once on the opposite shore zooms into an outpost that only just seems to be alerted to his arrival.

You race toward the river bank and can see a Stormtrooper in the watchtower with another climbing the ladder. The side facing the river is open and reveals two small barracks and large computer terminal at it's center. A small power generator and fuel cell are not far away from this. The Scout is shouting at a technician that just arrived at the terminal. Two other troopers are exiting the barracks, putting on helmets as they run out the door. The antenna's large dish begins to spin as the technician works to establish communications. If they succeed, then you can bet the Empire will know your there as well as the location of the Felucian Village.

One this side of the shore is the remenants of some large structure, long since forgotten to time. The jungle has reclaimed all but large fallen pillars and bases.

Bloody stupid... Kel curses under his breath as he realizes that he managed to catch up and overtake his companions just in time to see they were riding full speed straight into the sights of an imperial outpost. It doesn't take him more than a moment to regain his battle-hardened veteran calm.  quickly surveying the battlefield and seeing the befuddled imperial troopers Kel realizes their best chance is to push hard on their own advantage, the element of surprise.

He steadies himself in the saddle lifting his Repeating Blaster to let loose a long burst aiming to knock out both the technician as well as his console.

As the area around the technician fills with a hail of blaster bolts, he urges his companions Quick! Take them out before they have time to react!

The hail of blaster fire splashes over an energy field surrounding the terminal and the technician. Only a few diminished bolts scorch the back of the computer.

The technicians hands fly across the terminal as he works to both establish a comm connection as well as deter the attackers.

The pair of Stormtroopers out of the barracks quickly move to better positions. One tries to lay down suppressing fire at Kel to help prevent the Dashade from shooting effectively but the blaster fire does nothing to slow the large being.

The stormtrooper in the watchtower takes aim and fires bolt at Rald's speeder but is jostled by the trooper coming up the ladder and the shot goes harmlessly wide.


The last trooper finishes his climb and readies his blaster carbine.

Rald guns the engines of the acquired speeder slightly, and swings the back end around, using the foliage to help cover him as he lines up a shot to the console, and squeezes off his shot.

The laser cannon flashes several times and blasterfire sprays the large terminal. The ray shielding holds most at bay but falters lightly. The controls spark in front of the technician, hindering his progress but he tries to work around it.
