My assumption is that ksb has been busy, it happens with PbP games.
He hadn't been posting in the other one I'm a PC in either. So yeah, I'd assumed as much.

Much apologies.  October was a very busy month.  My wife got her PhD in toxicology, was offered a new job, and my hometown Kansas City Royals treated me to a very fun (but time-consuming) World Series run.  Now to get back in the swing of things  ;)

Wow, that's great about your wife! Will you be moving for the new job, or is it close enough to commute?

Thanks.  Still in KC.  Actually just a post-doc in a different department at the same medical center.  She had been studying liver, but her new lab is in cancer biology, though her new boss' research in metastasis has been leading in a liver direction.  We're just very thankful we don't have to move (my family is here, well-established D&D group, etc).  Very excited for the pay raise, though...

You live in KC? How interesting. I lived there for 10 years, and still visit every couple a years.

Oh I just assumed we were... guess I should actually reply. :P I also was trying not to be the only one doing actual dialogue. :D

Given Einar's backstory would he know anyone appropriate that can pass messages to the Hathran?

Most likely.  Other than the town of Urling, Hathran and Ethran are pretty well dispersed in settlements around the country.  Ethran (any Rashemi female that has taken the Ethran feat) number in the thousands.  Even a backwater fishing village is likely to have at least an Ethran.  If you spent any time in a "Large Town," then that location would at the least have one Hathran in town or nearby.  Almost anyone that lived in such a town would know who the local Hathran was, and how to get in touch with her (assuming she's in town).

Make up a name/one-line backstory for the contact, if you want.  The teenage nephew of a berserker-lodge member, the local cobbler, the local blacksmith, etc.

So... Trogdor, the berserker practitioner of fire magics... What would you say he is?
Barb 1/Wiz 1?
Barb 1/Duskblade 5?

I like Dusblade for Trogdor.

Trogdor the Burninator is a Barbarian 1/ Duskblade 5/Rage Mage 1 (or working up to that depending on how high of a level Trogdor should be) with the Energy Substitution (Fire) feat.

He and Einar went troll hunting together back when Einar was still in Rashemen.

Unless anyone has any other topics you want to bring up with Bram, I'll skim through to tomorrow morning, when he can prepare to do the things he's just talked about.

I'd like Skulda to talk to him a bit more about "their people" guarding the standing stone prisons (I'm guessing he's a MotY? I was wanting her to join them, eventually :) ). I don't know that I'll have time to actually RP out much IC till next week, though. Not much free time on the weekends (that's reserved for family, mostly).

Indeed.  The fat bird and a wedding kept me pretty busy the last week or so.  But no live game tonight, so I can actually get around to posting something ;)
