Aww c'mon you've got to change the title to :  Unearthed Arcana: Artifinally 4 - Electric Battleloo

Cantrip use goes Tomelock level 3+ >> Lore Bard level 6+ >> Arty#4 , until level 10 then Arty#4 is the best cantrip-er.
Love that ability.
It's something like half of your combat rounds, and massively useful out-of-combat.

Wolverine ... would flat-line for a while, and then burst up memory-less again ( uh -- gain ).

Phoenix ... but Xavier would caution against with good reason.

Silver Surfer ... the movie rights are separated which is stupid but whatevers

Yeah the "Halved-World" economy would be really weird but more functional than portrayed,
the "Half-Back-World" economy would be near starvation in no time,
lots of people would die ... except ... while having ultimate power Hulk (not Iron Man)
would have figured out how to do it (omni level Knowledge check of course he knows)
and in a way he could follow his own super-self directions.  Luckily Hulk didn't die.

President Hulk makes the "Half-Back-World" work ... Hulk Out kids !

Thanos wasn't quite the focus this go round.
<spoilers>

Everything that happens before any of the 3 snaps, is A. O. K. and easily explained as duh infinity gauntlet, dude.
Anything that happens after the last one, is debatable.

The ending has had lots of gristmilling.
In the original comics, at one point a burnt to a crisp Nebula grabs the Gauntlet from the leftover body of super-Thanos.  There's a line in there, something like even a dullard could defeat the marvel U gods with the infinity gauntlet.
So in the movie Captain America "fixes" everything but it happens off screen.
I can see him easily accomplishing any part of the return of most of the gems, but not all of them.
Once he's down to just the Time Gem and the Space Gem, he isn't that much stronger than whichever beings it was that had the gems in the first place, taken away by Thanos.
So his last act with the Time Gem would be to send him away from it, to the correct capital T time (leaving the time gem behind in the time stream) ... Where+When he could hopefully cross your fingers deposit the Space Gem in exactly the right place, at approximately the right enough time, and with no interference right at his weakest and most critical moment.
I don't think Cap's character has ever been portrayed as up to that specific a theoretical thinking process.
For sure the Hollywood writers aren't up to the task, but the comics guys are.

Right. You can't take a Synad feat if you're a Githzerai.

May I suggest
3PW) Improved Natural Attack ... since it's right next door on the build
4PW) Tashalatora ... benefits start happening right away

From "Plunder and Peril"
9k gold for a horn that grants a +6 to bardic music level, but only for already known uses. Also grants Resist 10 Sonic.

I.
Want.
What's the name of it?

Can you imagine my avatar with a gold horn going :  "LA LA LA hear more evil, hear more evil."
(and it working)

Hi FreeBeer.

I haven't looked at that closely in a long time.
Unearthed Arcana book has a short side box called Fractional BAB + Saves.
It didn't make it into the SRD.
In this case 2 medium BAB classes would have at level 3, +2.25 BAB rounded to +2.
It's almost always worth it to use the fractionals for BAB.
That would do it, but I didn't read it close enough to determine if it had the proper mention.
Some of these builds date back to 2005, and some info has been lost.

** edit **

Right.  So the Synad Multitask feat is Psionic,
and could be taken with the PsyWar1 bonus feat.
It looks like he reversed the 2 feats.
Knock Down could be taken with the normal level 3 feat slot.

Good spot check there, FreeBeer.

Good points.
My response was ECL -ocentric.

I don't think any LA Buyoff and CR interactions, have even been queried before.
I don't have any idea how exactly that would be handled, but it looks rather straightforward.
It's a dm ruling to say it works just like regular PCs, but I can't imagine it working any different.

Lich generally advances by character class.
But 4 undead racial hit dice would be quite tasty. (which a dm can just fiat to be OK)
Wizard 16+1 is +1 CR
Wizard 17 + 4 Urhd is +1 CR too.
That would get a pile of hp, an Improved Turn Resistance feat and the mandatory Epic Spells feat going.
With the 1/2 Dragon bought off, it'd be the same CR, but obviously more dangerous.

Wait,

always a good strategy

I was discussing a 16th level character.

No. No you weren't.

Quote

Where are the extra 5 levels from?

I explained that one post up under Step 2, and they aren't extra.

Erandis d'Vol is a 16th-level half-dragon elf wizard lich.

Half Dragon is LA+3.
Lich is LA+4.

16 + 3 + 4 = 23

Half Dragon racial prog ---> http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20030912a
Lich racial prog ---> http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20031212a

If you just go Wizard 17 for the oomph, that'll work too.

Got hit by a truck today.  Car may be fucked but I feel ok so far.

That totally sucks.
Don't assume you're OK.
Don't assume your Insurance (or the other guys) is on the up-and-up.

The various builds in the various books, are usually train-wrecks.
Step 1 is almost always a Psychic Reformation (level 23 can find and afford) to re-pick feats (!!) and skills (meh).

Step 2 is almost always go out on a PHB2 Rebuild Quest, to knock of (in this case) five horribly picked levels, for 5 more of the good stuff.
Here-in lies a curious point :   why the hells+gehenna would a level 16 wizard not pick the level 17 of wizard?  Why mister anderson WHY ?!

Anyway, a Wizard 21 / Half Dragon racial prog +1 (with LA buy off) / Lich racial prog +1 (also with LA buyoff) = 21 ECL.
And the only reason said epic wizard doesn't win is ... shoot I know the answers around here somewhere ... just wait-a-sec it'll come to me.

TC X0 Lt 0X ...  ;) :D right.

Are you telling me you don't enjoy gawking at the crazies?

Well yes, if I have the time, this guy was interrupting <tapping foot indicating annoyance>.

Plus, you know, between the mirror and/or my kitty avatar, I get enough "self-gawking" (so to speak).

Had the unusual clear day.
Went to watch the sunset, featuring my old Eclipse glasses.
Sun is setting.

Dude kinda pulls up -- I ignore.
Dude kinda pulls nearer -- I want to ignore, but the odd behavior compels.
He starts yelling about fixed reference points, the Sun is actually moving  and various other Flat Earth talking points (the real flat earther stuff).
I say ... (pause) ... "Hi ... "
<like I'm a not very smart cab driver under shooting the customer, and expecting them to keep doing what they're doing>
Dude keeps yelling the agit prop.
I turn back to the setting sun, having not taken off my eclipse glasses.
Dude drives off while still yelling the agit prop.

Sunset ends, twilight was beautiful.

It occurs to me well afterward, that the Book Of Acts
does not have any examples of Flat Earther propaganda in it.
Dude looked like he was in the Allman Brother's roady crew from the early 70s.
And yell-talked like the dude who gets scalped in the old movie Jeremiah Johnson.

Languid Duck did a guide for the most recent 3rd version
(but hasn't finished going through the infusions)
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?583037-For-Science!-A-Guide-to-the-Revisited-Artificer

... and did the earlier 2nd version
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?572162-For-Science!-A-Guide-to-the-Artificer

But yeah your point is quite right ... unless you go all the way back
to the original one from the 1st UA circa '15 that's a Wizard with other stuff.
That one, people found even grappling of all things, to work.

They are clearly holding some future tricks up their sleeves.
The PHB allow crafting as a caster of level 3.  That's it.
Why in the world do you then need special permissions and
Class abilities, to craft the various things on the latest Artificer?
