A shimmer, and one of the former nobles was clearly armoured over her opulent wear--even if the armour didn't quite exist in any real sense. A second later, and her weapons were in hand: things with the appearance of hand crossbows, but with the 'crossbow' part removed, leaving just a crystalline projectile rested atop a shaped and intricately decorated--with golden knotwork, too--piece of wood.

"I am ready."

"Why not just go over there and kill everyone?"  While it is technically possible that Bartok is being sarcastic, this seems very unlikely.

One of Qoden's eyebrows twitches slightly at Bartok's suggestion, but he responds without hesitation. I agree. It's never too early to start our mission. The ever-present sneer becomes more pronounced, and the faint blue tinge to Qoden's hair saturates ever-so slightly, as he seems to gather himself for the confrontation. Bartok and Urak, right before we go into the fight, I have an effect that will benefit you, if you wish.

We outnumber them, and can probably take them by surprise.  There's a strong chance that the fight will be over before it even begins, and we'll have saved another innocent from the Church's clutches.

Xander shoots a glance at at Hassin, almost as if asking for the assassin's approval.
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

Dense clouds pass the sun, and the day grows much less bright than it was... Hassin grins with satisfaction:

Perhaps we can have more fun than i had imagined...The shadows are on our side. Let's try and surprise them, and this can be over before it even starts for them

Hassin nearly vanishes before your eyes, as he seemingly blends in with the shadows.

He says to you Move in close, but try to stay out of sight... I'll strike first, and then you strike in my stead. We'll surprise them, and they'll never know what hit them.

--> Move over to the combat thread, and if you wish to follow Hassin's lead, make your move silently and hide checks.

Xander moves in to Long range of the convoy (440 feet), trusting mainly in the large distance to keep him from being detected.

Yah, combat thread now.

You are all within 700ft of the caravan for now... Hassin has vanished out of sight, and Xander & Blackmill are drawing out the attention of the caravan. The caravan seems to pick up some speed, and you feel as if they might have noticed that there's something wrong ahead.

To the Combat thread!
