I've got a list of classes I was looking for sources on. Some I know, some, not so sure. All classes would be pre-Pathfinder, so are 3rd party or dragon mag.
Open Questions:
Champion of Bane - ?
Vigilant - ?
Minstrel of the Edge - ?
Brawler base class - Appears to be total homebrew?
Favored of Milil - ?
Sorted, Thanks!
Anti Paladin - Dragon Mag #313
Ultimate Ranger - Ultimate series of books, 3rd party
Man at Arms - Mercenaries, 3rd party
Mighty Contender of Kord - Dragon Mag #283
Blood Archer - Evil, 3rd party
Mystic - Dragonlance CS
Noble - Dragonlance CS
Templar - Athas/Dark Sun
Witch - NPC Class, DMG
Battleguard of Tempus - Dragon #317
Nightshade - Dragon Mag #298
-
A couple of those are the names of Pathfinder classes although I don't know if there are 3rd party 3.5 classes with the same names.
-
These would all be pre-pathfinder and during third edition active development.
-
Champion of Bane - ?
Vigilant - Maybe 3rd Party PF (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/3rd-party-prestige-classes/onyx-path-and-nocturnal-publishing/vigilant-prestige-class/)?
Anti Paladin - Dragon Mag #313 per Realmshelp (http://www.realmshelps.net/charbuild/classes/alternate/antipaladin.shtml)
Ultimate Ranger - Ultimate series of books, 3rd party
Man at Arms - Pathfinder then? (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/fighter/archetypes/samurai-sheepdog-fighter-archetypes/man-at-arms/)
Mighty Contender of Kord - Dragon Mag #283 per Realmshelp (http://www.realmshelps.net/charbuild/classes/prestige/general/mightycontender.shtml)
Nightstalker - DL's Races of Ansalon pg153
Blood Archer - 3rd party somewhere
Mystic - Dragonlance Campaign Setting pg47
Noble - Dragonlance Campaign Setting pg50
Templar - Athas/Dark Sun. Did you mean the PrC out of DotF pg72?
Witch - DMG pg175
Minstrel of the Edge - 3rd party Athas Reborn post? (http://www.athasreborn.com/prc/manual/english/content/prestige_classes/253.html)
Brawler - Pafthfinder (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/hybrid-classes/brawler/)
-
Nope. Mean man at arms.
Witch is http://www.nwnprc.net/manual/english/content/base_classes/206.html (http://www.nwnprc.net/manual/english/content/base_classes/206.html), have no idea where it's from.

It's someone's screwed up interpretation of the DMG's Witch. Same Spell List, same Sorcerer Progression, but they added the Wizard's Bonus Feats then tossed other stuff on it because missing the point is what most people do.
Also revised the post a little with some additions. Some of those I don't know.

Ultimate Ranger may be this :
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/86486/Ranger-Character-Folio?manufacturers_id=3422
" ... This is the ultimate Ranger class character folio for the Pathfinder system. ... "
Witch?
2nd-ing SorO, and it's been an occasional topic since day 1 of 3.0.
Pathfinder went ahead and made one (quite a daring break with ~tradition) :

Not Pathfinder - as mentioned earlier all of these classes would be pre-Pathfinder existing.
Minstrel of the Edge would have come from another source - the Athas Reborn content is actually mine from ten years ago, but I don't remember where the heck someone else found the class from.
Thanks for all the help so far!

Mongoose did a "Quintessential Witch" for 3.0.
-
Mongoose did a "Quintessential Witch" for 3.0.
I thought the Quintessential books were just support splats, like per-class versions of “Sword & Fist”, etc.?
Edit: So that was just a support book for the DMG Witch, treating it as a full class. I recall there being Quintessential books for each of the PHB core classes.
-
There is a Man-at-arms prestige class from Mercenaries by Alderac Entertainment Group, pg. 211.
Brawler is a prestige class from The Quintessential Fighter, pg. 15.
-
Perfect. That's the Man-at-Arms I was looking for.
Another one to toss on the list - Favored of Milil. I believe it's a Dragon Mag.
-
Ultimate Ranger might be part of an extended series of
Ultimate classes done by an '04 era poster Szatany.
Somebody saved the whole pile, from the wotc-pocalypse.
http://www.thecbg.org/wiki/index.php?title=Ultimate_Classes:Main_Page
His stuff used to be linked on a bunch of general and early c.o. pages.
-
i would think PBMC would have the most complete reference material

This is definitely the Ultimate Ranger I was thinking of.

First, you should be a doll and update your list :P
Blood Archer: PrC, AEG's Evil, p.68
Brawler: PrC, Mongoose's The Quintessential Fighter, p.15
Witch: base class, AEG's Magic, p.133 (wis-based, wizard progression, with weird mechanic and additional power source)
-
Alright, I'm back with another set of classes, and fully updated the top post so it's clearer.
-
The only Brawler class I know is from Pathfinder.
-
"City Brawler" is a Barb acf in Drag #349.
It didn't catch on, prolly from the tricky wording.

Nope, still not it. Class in question looks like this (http://prc.athasreborn.com/manual/english/content/base_classes/254.html)
-
The only reference I found with google led back to the NWN mod.
-
Here's the Nightshade source. (https://www.realmshelps.net/charbuild/classes/prestige/general/nightshade.shtml)
-
I know of a Brawler PrC in Dragon 295 pages 72-73, but not a regular class so far.
-

Perfect, thank you!
The only reference I found with google led back to the NWN mod.
This is the issue I'm having. I just can't find a source for it anywhere.

Have you tried d&d tools?
http://dnd.arkalseif.info/dndtools/classes/?page=7
-
Brawler seems like a Fighter ACF, though homebrew is quite possible.
-
Champion of Bane - ?
Vigilant - ?
Minstrel of the Edge - ?
Brawler base class - Appears to be total homebrew?

Some of these seem to come from Athas Reborn
Champion of Bane - http://www.athasreborn.com/prc/manual/english/content/prestige_classes/69.html
Vigilant - http://www.athasreborn.com/prc/manual/english/content/prestige_classes/85.html
Minstrel of the Edge - http://www.athasreborn.com/prc/manual/english/content/prestige_classes/253.html
Brawler - not listed
Favored of Milil - http://www.athasreborn.com/prc/manual/english/content/prestige_classes/111.html
For a list of prestige classes on Athas Reborn goto http://www.athasreborn.com/prc/manual/english/menus/manual_menus_prestige_classes.html
P.S. They also have some classes with the same names you've already found
Man at Arms - http://www.athasreborn.com/prc/manual/english/content/prestige_classes/119.html
Blood Archer - http://www.athasreborn.com/prc/manual/english/content/prestige_classes/156.html
P.P.S. Brawler was under base class and I was looking at just the prestige classes
Brawler - http://www.athasreborn.com/prc/manual/english/content/base_classes/254.html
And some other classes you've already found in other places with the same class name.
-
That's why I'm asking. That's my manual. :P
