Had a UA anyway = OK

Avariel ... Flying at level 1 ?!   OH THANK THOR , that that's all they get , it's (sputter, cough) too much , (rage+bile) and it's only playtest , we grogs will (system shock "save" from 1e) survive.

Grugach ... hmm Str+Dex+ Thorn Whip = some decent non-caster battlefield control, that works with slow developing dip builds.

Sea ... basically NPC material, sans the obvious better in water, while Goblin is >> on land.

Shardar-Kai ... noticed some 4e guys had no idea these were in 3e at some point,  trans-editional fluff dis-continuity is a corner case.  Half a Misty Step with good refluffing + short resistance = Casters can ditch Rogue 2 dips.

They also get the general elf traits, i.e. Dex+2, Perception, advantage vs charm, sleep immunity and darkvision.

Aarakocra are still the superior flyers (50’ vs 30’) and also get one more attribute point.

Knowing how wotc is treating 4e lore bits, forcing its stupidity even more down our throats, soon we'll learn that Ao was the Raven queen all along! When Eberron comes out the Raven queen keeps all gods from that multiverse as pets in leashes, thus their absence from the material plane. The Raven queen probably thought Athas was ugly and decided it should burn, and so on. Thankfully Greyhawk has no place in 5e, except for Mearls' head.

Grugach Rangers and Clerics seem really nice.
