This past weekend I finished my last assignment for my Masters of Engineering in Computer Engineering degree. All that's left is to wait for the grades to come in.
Congratulations!  :clap

If you’re going all in on the crazy, go check out Eddie near the bottom of this page:

Even if you don’t go down the haunt shift route, the rest of it incorporates a lot of what’s been mentioned here.

You can get Astral Construct via Hidden Talent. Nomad wouldn’t be a bad choice.

Looks fun

Added the new "Additional Attacks" spoiler to the thread. As always, any additions are welcome, either here (since it's on topic) or my submissions if you're worried about necro'ing this one (assuming decay).
Does your Class Boosters handbook have a separate discussion thread? Although it was mentioned in an earlier post in this thread, you didn't add Snake's Swiftness to the ways to gain extra attacks. Although it doesn't stack with Haste, it is only a 1st level druid spell. So you could have a follower/hireling follow around your decisive strike monk and spam it from a wand every round for an extra attack.

Was I a bit too railroady in this game? It was hard not to be, sometimes... given the crazy nature of it.

How far did you go? I faintly remember them getting more insane as they went.
About 23 I think. It involved a secret society of Raoul clones, reporting to each other through some kind of complicated cell system that kept them from being tracked back to him. :D

I've started to reread the game threads, and am really enjoying them. I started at the end, worked my way back to the BG boards, and then started from the beginning.

I could just respec the sorcerer I already made and leveled up to 10th, right? (Although honestly I don't know when/if I'll ever have time to play this...) And I thought I'd read somewhere that they'd started charging spell points to apply metamagic to SLAs?...

Well... I'm very sad that this finally died. I'm tempted to just post what I had planned for those who still hang around here and might be interested in it. It's possible that I might have time to pick it up again now, as well... I graduated medical school and am a resident psychiatrist, which means that occasionally I have a little free time now. I haven't seen Head of Vecna active in years, though, and there's not much activity on this forum at all anymore...

P.S.: I did look at some of Raoul's private spoilers.  :D

Edit: After rereading some of the last threads, I'm both tantalized and terrified at the prospect of trying to restart this mess... You guys were absolutely insane, and almost impossible to actually challenge... It was definitely one of, if not the most, entertaining games I've ever participated in, though, and that was almost entirely due to the insane banter and RPing you guys did. :D

Cool, did you find a new class you liked?
I made a multiclassed barb/rog/ftr and a sorcerer. I liked both. (I wanted some characters with high DPS. I was tired of thumping away forever with the cleric when soloing, and the rogue/wizard was only slightly better). My son made a couple of others, but wound up liking his original ranger better in the end.

In unrelated news... I was the only member online within the past 15 minutes when posting this... Our boards have evaporated...

I logged in a few months ago. It took forever to update... They were letting people level up to 10th for free, so my son and I made a couple of new characters to try out. We haven't been on since that couple of hours that night. :D

You live!
Haha! Yes, I do live.  Life has just been VERY busy of late.  Still running two campaigns at my house each week.  My Sunless Citadel campaign is wrapping up; they are 19th level and playing through the last adventure of that series.  I recently moved, and in a few weeks my wife and I will be having our first child.

You could try on mythweavers. Much bigger pool of applicants and they allow hybrid games now.

I thought Tymio's invisible friends were on our side?
Given how things everywhere else have been turned on their head, I think some are skeptical/cautious/paranoid about that point. :P

Opioid tolerant patient came in the other night claiming chest pain / CVA / PE depending on who spoke to him. Kept requesting pain medicine, and got it, but conveniently decided we all were incompetent and he was fine when we tried transferring him to a neurologist. He ended up AMA'ing out after suckering 16mg of morphine out of the ER doctor within an hour and his wife was a total ass the entire time. After he signed the paperwork through, and was still refusing to be transferred, he kept asking for more morphine.

Was something serious going on? Who knows, I'm boiling some details down here but I suggested a nice tall vial of stfu almost an hour before the doc started talking about it and by then it was a little too late.
This is also called "A Tuesday" in ED parlance.  :P

A mini-BBEG showdown!

They followed the unicorn-kidnapping bugbears to an old ruin deep in the swamp. There, they had a showdown with zombie mommy dragon, a vampiric (black) unicorn, and the remaining bugbears. The PCs opening shot consisted of the (invisible) pixie using her new sphinx-roar to cause what was left of the ruin to collapse, killing most of the bugbears. The unicorn then dominated her, and she turned and attacked her allies for a round until their "sphinx" (actually a lammasu) ally flew up next to her with a magic circle, suppressing the dominate. They mopped up the bugbears quickly, beat on the unicorn until it used its greater teleport (I decided that the swamp around the collapsed ruin was its new "forest home"), and had beaten the dragon down enough to it was a foregone conclusion and so we called the game for the night.

We RPd them digging the ruins out and trying to figure out what happened to the rest of the unicorns over the next few days. Basically, I had decided that there would be a series of these towers linked to the movement of the sun. The vampire is going around corrupting unicorns at them to shorten the daylight hours, and eventually bring on "eternal darkness". If you know how, you can teleport from the 12 satellite towers to the 13th central one, and the vampire must have done this and taken the rest of the unicorns with him. So now they have to chase down this vampire before he corrupts them all.

Edit: I am putting some more plans in my private threads here. We had a very short game today in which they met with the leader of the order of "sphinxes", who told them about the towers, and gave them a map, and also got a gift from the Archdruid that lets them use Transport Via Plants once per day. They traveled to a plains area where another of the towers is, diplomancied some centaurs, and got them to take them to the nearest Sun Temple ruins. This temple happened to be the one with the Beacon of Hope, which is guarded by a powerful golem. They camped outside for the night (and I rolled secretly to see if the vampire and his posse came for that temple next, and they didn't). By the next day, the sun didn't come up until 11 AM (and it set the prior day at 2 PM). So there are very few hours of daylight left. The vampire is moving very fast at corrupting temples. (And the DM is speeding towards the climax of the campaign instead of dragging it out for as long as I'd initially planned. :P )
