Well, I had some success imitating a member of the Order of the Contemplative Mind before I was killed. I know enough of the customs, and my powers are similar enough, that I can pass, as long as no one looks too closely who knows what a real member is capable of.

Retcon: The universe rearranges itself so that Eos is erased from all your memories... Instead, you remember of Blackmill, an odd fellow of cadaveric and unnatural appearance, who seems to be versed in the arcane arts.[/color]

Hassin looks at all of you and says Good. It's good that you're all ready to go... We shall start our journey towards Corbridge, where we shall stop to get mounts and more provisions for our journey towards York...

You all start on your journey towards Corbridge. The sun is going down as you walk towards your destination, and landscape such as this paint the way towards the rebuilt Roman Fortress in Corbridge:

You continue to walk peacefully, barely seeing any signs of human or other activity. In the distance, sometimes you can see sheep, barely visible in the horizon, grazing quietly. Hassin leads the way, extremely quiet the entire way. The night starts creeping in fast, and Hassin poses the question:

Corbridge is merely three or four hours walk from now. We can camp and go by day, or we can walk into the night. What do you think?

"Whatever you would suggest Hassin. I'm fine with another four hours on the trail tonight unless of course you suspect the darkness will bring about it's own dangers."

Having barely started, I would just as soon be closer to our goal before we camp for the night. I have no problems traveling in the dark.

What?  Continue on, through an unknown land, after dark?  We have no idea of the dangers on this road, nor do we even know if we'll be allowed entrance into the town.  What if they close the gates at sundown, leaving us to sleep outside regardless?
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

Well, it's not totally unknown, is it? I mean, we weren't dead for that long. I don't imagine that the dangers posed in this part of Astaria are too different from the rest...

I think we would be best suited to travel at night. I'm sure the less seen we are the better. My face has a rather unpleasant reaction when looked upon in direct light.....

The night is as beautiful as it is deadly, but the shadows are my friends. If all of you want to press on, i shall be your guide.

Xander's mouth drops open in disbelief, then he lets out a disheartened sigh at the prospect of more walking though the dark.

Since some of us you cannot see in the dark, perhaps we should camp here for the night. It would not do for one of us you to get injured just because we wished to travel a few miles farther before camping outside anyway.

Blackmill scoffs loudly. He would have to get used to working with people... this was a new experience for him. Bah... fine, lets make camp. I wouldn't want one of you to stub your toe's. He says with a sarcastic smirk.

(((AWFULLY SORRY ABOUT ALL THE DELAYS!!! Exam week coming fast, and i'm neglecting this board somewhat in order to give due attention to my personal life amidst all the stuff... BUT, Update is at hand)))

You stop and make camp... All the noises of the fields flood your ears, and the smell of moist grass fills your nostrils as you sleep close to the ground...

The night seems peaceful, and the full moon casts a shining silver light that neatly covers the grass, making for a beautiful view. The cover of darkness is not as strong as it normally is, and that gives you a sense of safety, of security, that you don't normally feel...

The night comes and goes peacefully, and the only thing left is a good night's sleep. You wake up with Hassin's voice, telling you all to raise camp.

Time is of the essence - make haste, for we have no time to lose. It was safer to not travel by night, but also much slower. If we are to make up for lost time, we have to hurry. Corbridge is near, and if we make good time, we can be there before midday.

You all pack your things, and start making towards Corbridge.

The land is quiet, but you see some caravans in the distance.

There seem to be a prison wagon, escorted by several guards on horseback. Even from a distance, you can tell they're agents from the church.

Hassin cusses

Holy warriors... Church dogs. And they seem to be carrying a prisoner, too. Hmm... this might be an opportunity. There doesn't seem to be anyone else in this place... They are four, maybe five or six if there are guards posted inside that wagon. What do you think, boys, ready for some action, or do you prefer to sneak by and leave them be?
