"Second floor, above the entrance. Do all men's rooms smell this bad?" With one last spurt, she hops out of the building and towards the ground with her ill-gotten gains.

Ground Floor, Museum Entrance

Horizon doesn't see much around the entrance...until he feels the air outside go from warm to hot.
"I don't think I've tried burning art yet?

Kaleidoscope, now out of the building, finds herself with Horizon a short distance to her left....and Pyrebird, her trademark bird-like burning aura wreathing her, straight ahead down the street.

Since she's got both hands full, Kaleidoscope bumps into Horizon with her shoulder both to alert him to her presence and make sure he's real. "Got the painting. Let's scram." Almost as an afterthought, she holds up the binder with the log sheet. "I think Mab's mad at me because I took this... wait." She looks at Pyrebird. "She's gonna burn it down, isn't she?"

"If Mab hasn't already." Horizon stays very, very still, murmuring into the commlink in case moving suddenly triggers Pyrebird's napalm instincts. "Running would be safer, but we can't resell the painting if they think it's burned..."

"You want me to punt Pyrebird." Horizon heaves a sigh. "I don't really have a choice, do I?"

Kaleidoscope shrugs very slightly. "Well, we could run for it and try for a resell anyway. I do have the display card. Or we could decorate a room with it. But she's gonna make the decision for us in a bit, and we shouldn't be anywhere near her when she does."

Pyrebird tilts her head, looking at the whispering duo, as her aura pours into a sphere that goes from a deep red to bright yellow, "Come to challenge me? If you tell me who made that horribly tasteless fake, I'll let you leave quietly. Or maybe I'll see if you're fireproof~ I don't really care."

She twirls the ball of fire on a fingertip, paying more attention to the orb than her would-be targets.

Horizon's eyes flick back and forth between Pyrebird and her fireball. "No need for that. I think the one you're looking for is inside." He jerks a thumb over his shoulder. "Although I think she wants you to jump to conclusions...she's already burning the place, and if she lured you here I bet she wants you to do her dirty work for her."

Kaleidoscope nods. "Honestly, if she has any sense, she's nowhere nearby. Master-stranger and all. Mab's the name, apparently."

"Mab, Mab, can't say that rings a bell. But I don't leave without burning something, so you'll have to do. You have a thirty second head start~"

Pyrebird gives the ball a spin, the flame going from yellow to a blinding white.

"Fine, let's scram. Hold." Keeping her eyes on Pyrebird and her little fireball, Kaleidoscope gives Horizon the binder to hold and slings her arm around his neck in preparation for take-off. She motions with her head for the roof of the building immediately to the arsonist's left. "That way."

Horizon doesn't need telling twice. He grabs the binder and bolts for the rooftop with Kaleidoscope in tow. Once out of Pyrebird's earshot, he mutters, "We can lose her but she'll wreck the entire district...Think you can set her up for a slam dunk?"

Kaleidoscope doesn't need telling, leaving the painting and a cloud of rainbow colors in Horizon's arm as they pass by Pyrebird. She's already above the villain, collapsed baton in one hand and stun gun in the other, a colorful smudge against the bright sky.

At the sudden expansion of colored images, Pyrebird clicks her tongue and flicks the orb full of flames at the pair. The surface of the sphere cracks and a flood of tiny little flaming birds of all colors pours out, engulfing both her targets and the wall, which promptly begins to char as the paint burns away.
"Tricksy one, I changed my mind."

OOC: Readied action goes off, both Horizon and Kaleidoscope must make a Dodge check vs DC 22, followed by a DC 27(on a failure) or DC 21(on a success) Toughness check.

Roll for initiative, Pyrebird is 15ft off the ground, and about 50ft away from you.

Kaleidoscope, already on her way to sucker-punch Pyrebird, manages to only catch some of the heat from the flames and takes her ambush position in midair.

Horizon, barreling forward when Pyrebird launches the sphere, takes a huge blast of heat and stumbles back, beating at the fiery birds with his free hand.

"Burn! Burn my pretties!" Pyrebird cackles to herself as the tiny firebirds spread across the wall and her enemies, rising on a pillar of hot air with her arms folded melodramatically, rising to ten meters above the nearby buildings to ensure the entire neighborhood got a good view. The museum wall isn't looking too good, as the scorched area expands and the brick begins to crack from the sudden heat.

OOC:
Pyrebird spends her action maintaining the flames and rising dramatically.

Thankfully, the costume keeps Horizon from outright crisping. Knowing how unlikely he is to get another shot, he tucks to minimize exposed surface area and waits for Kaleidoscope to make her move.

Sweating from the heat already, Kaleidoscope jumps after Pyrebird, landing right behind her in midair. She moves her left hand through the arsonist's body and materializes the collapsed baton to pull the neckline of her costume to the site, then jabs her stun gun into the exposed shoulder... but nothing happens, apart from a pitiful little sputter. She tries again, to the same result. "Fuck me."
