The group finds the herd in a loose pen near Vazus' hut. The animals are extremely well trained and appear mild tempered toward accepting a rider.

Chase the Imperial Scouts Round 1 Begins!

Suggested Primary Skills

Perception: Find the best path to keep pace with their quarry or looks for indicators of where the target is heading next.

Survival: You track the speeders as you ride along. The speed in which you are moving makes this difficult (no longer an option for the PC after the first failure using this skill).

Stealth:The heroes can try to sneak through the undergrowth in an attempt to cut off their quarry as long as they remain unnoticed.

Use Computer: The heroes may use a datapad (or the computer on a speederbike) during the ride to try to slice the imperial communications to get advanced knowledge or to jam them. Very difficult due to the bumpy ride and the simple nature of the device being used (no longer an option for the PC after the first failure of this skill).

Use the Force: Reach out with your feelings and sense the presence of the scout troopers through the force. With the abundance of surrounding life and the less than ideal conditions this can be difficult to concentrate for.

Ride:Ride along the fastest routes, avoid obstacles, and find ways to get closer to the target. Once close, the target begins making opposed checks with the pilot skill. (One ride check must be made by everyone each round)

Quickly checking his gear to make sure none of it will fall off during the chase, Rald scrambles up onto the back of one of the beasts, and urges it after the fleeing stormtroopers.

Rald builds an instant rapport with his Kybuk, named Kulper from what Tuokool says Vazus named her, the Khil slips off out into the jungle. The huts of the village whip past at an incredible speed until they are long behind you and a swampy plain looms ahead.

Kel has some trouble with his beast, one named Vergun, as headstrong as Kel it moves a little each time the Dashade tries to swing his leg over.

While Vergun remains obstinate Kel eventually mounts the beast and the kybuk leaps off fighting the Dashade's efforts. The surroundings flash by still as the beast kicks to an incredible speed despite the riding relationship. The Scouts are nearly out of sight but Rald is not far ahead.

Tuokool quickly leaps onto Razus, urging the might beast forwards to chase the scouts. Placing his trust on the bond he and the beast formed over the rough and bruise filled traning session, where Vazus tried to teach him how to spend more time on the beast than on his behind on the jungle floor. Toukool let's his consciousness drift form his body, and lets the life guide it towards the racing scouts

Rald heads off in another direction initially and the scouts take the bait, changing their path as well which Rald is able to cut down the distance slightly as the groups quarry enters the Fungal Swamp.

Tuokool is able to sense the direction the Scouts head off in and gains some ground on the Speeder Bikes.

The two scouts disappear into the fungal swamp with only the high pitched whine of their bikes can be heard to follow them.

Corran leaps into the saddle on Windel, and the Kybuk tears off kicking up debris far behind it. At that speed Corran has some difficulty in finding the quicker paths to gain on the Scouts.
