im curious/confused about the template type.

acquired vs inherited

acquired sounds like the host continues on w/ a new template.

as the host is effectively converted into a xenomorph it kind of does.  It's to represent the seno's inheritance of it's 'parents' characteristics.

A few contributions:

First, the Xenomorph template seems to only grant a tail attack, but both in the movies and in the games Xenomorph's made from humans seem to also be able to attack with their claws, even though humans obviously don't have claws. I'd suggest granting a claw attack based on size & progressing the claw damage by 1 dice if the host already had a claw attack.

Second, to my knowledge, a xenomorph has never infected Vermin or anything resembling Vermin in the series. I think it's kind of weird that the template can be applied to Vermin.

Acid Immunity may be appropriate, since they basically have acid for blood.

acid will be included in the immunities section

I didn't include claws for a reason.  All the kills the alines perform are done via the tail or by grabbing them and puncturing the opponents skull with their pharyngeal jaws.  Plus the drone template refers to only the xeno in the original film, which had fingers.  The soldier template which will follow will show the xenos from the other films.

My apologies for the necromancy, but do you guys think chestbursters should logically be able to swim?

unless they have some reason to be vulnerable to water, like many terrestrial bugs, then i would think they could.

i think one of the movies had a swimming xeno?
