Lol my gestalt suggestion was not serious, just an expression of frustration.

Let's do this.  I'll either submit a Warpsoul/Soulfused Transcendant, OR (if I end up using the previous combo in Tshern's game) a Gerudo.

Hey Quill, I assume I can't play a Magipunk class?
You can. Most of them seem like they could be adapted to work outside the magipunk setting fairly easily.

No gestalt, it seems.

Oslecamo, littha, I'll look at those builds later today.

Oh.  Oh, oh, oh.  Well then.  Things just got both simpler and more complicated :D

EDIT: Relevant questions, Quill.

1) What level of optimization are you comfortable with?
2) How do you feel about LA buyoff and bloodlines?

right.  the Dragonheart Adept is a bit too feral for what I wanted to do. I'm tempted between :
- A Sublime Shaper using Eternal Moment & Fleeting Image as Circles, Ironheart Surge & Shadow Hand as disciplines.
- A Flamespeaker, because there is nothing you can't solve with fire. Perhaps a Pixie to make a new version of Carnivore's Hottest little Hottie. :smirk Fleeting Image, then Eternal Moment or Screeching Roc, and don't know yet for the last one.

"-Lady-Captain, we detect 20 hostile vessels against us,  and Erasmus Haarlock's Spear of Destiny ! What are your orders ?
-RAMMING SPEED !

final result : 6 slaughts vessels, 4 imperial frigates, 2 imperial cruisers destroyed. Haarlock sent into the warp. 0 losses. Flawless Victory.

Lets see. What about
- a sublime shaper (thinking Unseen Impetus, Blustering gale combined with shadow hand, thrashing dragon or tigerclaw disciplines)
- or maybe a dementist http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=1230 (sort of cthulhulean pokemon master)

Dementists are awesome -- I can tell you this from experience.

EDIT: I think I'll go with a Crystal Mage / Ritual Mage.  Just to up the homebrew awesomeness.

Dementists are indeed excellent, having seen one in action. Samnemath, if you want to go Sublime Shaper, then I'll go Flamespeaker.

Just a question Quillwraith. If I go with Dementist, what kind of creatures do I start with? Specific ones or whatever I want under a certain CR.

Since we are posting images  :D

Oslecamo, yuan-ti and ghaele are both okay.

Littha, spellblade duelist is in.

1) What level of optimization are you comfortable with?
2) How do you feel about LA buyoff and bloodlines?
1: Some, but nothing like Ransom or Tyorre.
2: Bloodlines, but no LA buyoff.

Where are Flamespeaker and Sublime Shaper?

If having come across it makes sense with your backstory and you could make the imprinting check, it's probably fine.

Yeah, Steve Argyle is quite good.

My plan for this game is to find some Tier 4-ish homebrew melee class, but then beef it up with the feats found HERE. Would that be okay, Quill?

Crap.  Crystal Mage is too interesting 1-20 for me to go into Ritual Mage.

Gaaaaah.  Leadership!  Lol.  With a Thaumaturge/Ritual Mage.

BTW, don't worry -- I would never play Ransom in a game not specifically designed to accommodate monstrosities like him.  I'll keep it to a medium-high level of charop.

How do you feel about Dragon Mag material?

No-one's disagreed with level 8 yet, but we must see what everyone thinks.

I'd like to take a look at backstories, if you(plural) have them yet, so that I can try to figure out how things will start.

Yah.

Many things you(plural) have mentioned give me ideas for NPCs. (I might use core classes for NPCs, 'cause there's the prewritten characters, but for major ones I intend to also use only homebrew.)

Well, it would greatly help us if we had an idea of how the campaign setting is. You mentioned something about a custom setting on the first page. :p

Oh, gawd. A homebrew setting? May I suggest The Vorpal Tribble's lovely A Dying Ember setting?

EDIT: Also, how would you feel about allowing THESE two-weapon fighting rules to apply to this homebrew game (along with the feats found there)?

Also, are you okay with THIS fighter rewrite combined with THESE FEATS?

I kinda forgot that for a bit...
It's rather hard to get the idea into writing in a form that would make sense to anyone else. I'll work on it.

Dying Ember...
I am Impressed. I had a different setting in mind though.

TWF variant is cool unless it causes problems for someone else, your fighter one also(but don't abuse leadership please), the other two are fine.
