Building A School

First, obviously, think of a name and a theme.  Decide on your Key Skill.  Several of your Maneuvers will likely depend on this skill.  Then decide on your schools five Associated Weapons.  Note that you may choose any opposed Combat Check (such as a Grapple), unarmed strike, or natural weapons as selections. 

You then craft your Maneuvers.  You may have up to five 1st Level Maneuvers, four 2nd and 3rd Level Maneuvers, three Maneuvers each of 4th to 8th Level, and one Maneuver of 9th Level.

You then decide if there will be Subschools.  A Subschool is a variant of your school based around a theme.  For example if your discipline is based off sword fighting, perhaps your subschool is based off two sword fighting.  A subschool normally uses the same Key Skill and Associated Weapons, but you have the option of changing either.  A subschool has one Maneuver of each Level.

You then decide upon Epic Level Maneuvers.  Epic Maneuvers come in Ranks.  A school gets one 1st Rank, four 2nd Rank, three 3rd Rank, and one 4th Rank.  The only real difference between them (aside from potency) are the prerequisites:

1st Rank: Costs 20,000 XP and takes 10 days to learn.
2nd Rank: Requires one 1st Rank Maneuver of your school, costs 30,000 XP, and takes 15 days to learn. 
3rd Rank: Requires one 1st and one 2nd Rank Maneuver of your school, costs 45,000 SP, and takes 20 days to learn.
4th Rank: Requires all 1st-3rd Rank Maneuvers of your school, costs 100,000 Xp and takes 50 days to learn.

If you have a Subschool, it will also have Epic Maneuvers.  You may create one Maneuver of each Rank.
