Hmmm... good question.  I should probably clarify that... nothing, I think.  Maybe a sentence saying that if the sacrificed spell doesn't specifically affect creatures then there's no secondary effect (just the piercing damage)?

Yes, with spells that are irrelevant or inappropriate to the setting removed (shouldn't be many), I figured to take it on a case-by-case basis so I didn't have to go through every fricking spell ever.  :)

True as that is...

I'd post lists or examples of banned spells sooner rather then host on a case by case basis, since there are a lot of power monkeys on these boards, and they're going to try the whole "Magic Missile + Ray of Enfeeblement + Transmute Mud to Water and Dirt = I win at D&D" and when you say "Sorry, but Transmute Mud to Water and Dirt isn't allowed in my game" they may either whine about it "You cheated me of my hard won victory!" or leave.

Fair warning, it's better to give folks an idea of what's not allowed before they start building donut golems or something.

For instance, since the spheres are D.Locked, perhaps saying "All forms of teleportation, dimension door, or similar spells are not permitted."

Hmm... I see what you mean.  I had been intending to do the vetting at character creation and levelling, so that of course nothing got sprung on the players mid-game.... but if that's not enough I can try to find some examples.  Honestly I can't think of any off the top of my head, I just wanted to allow for the fact that I might find something that didn't make sense in the setting, so I could axe it.

But let's see... OK, here's one, but it's not a great example.  Astral Projection, Ethereal Jaunt, and Etherealness may not work as written, but I'm not sure yet because I have to figure out how the ethereal and astral fit into this cosmology.  But some version of the spells will exist.

Um... here's another.  Contact Other Plane doesn't exist, since divination is done through the Oracle.  Thus, it's been replaced by Commune.

You could rename Commune to be "Instant Messenger" and then keep Contact Other Plane, just rename it "Email".

Sending might be a better candidate for "Email."  And we really need a Greater Sending option to get more than 25 words out of it.

Maybe Sending is "Twitter" then?

For the Crystal Warrior ACF, having a Crystal short swort until level 6 is kinda terrible, considering other characters will have a better damage die and more things to do with the weapons they carry. Having the ordinary crystaline weapon at first level would go a ways towards this. Rather than simply cap out sooner than the Ordinary crystal mage, he should be able to have overall better melee ability than him, perhaps with a "Supreme Crystalline weapon" in there towards the end. No Manuvers though, he is a gish, not an adept.

Also, consider making the Crystal Warrior's shield activate with first level, rather than third level spells. It's a minor nitpick, but it would be nice for it to function RAW as well as RAI.

And I'm also honestly confused where the RAW / RAI mix up is. RAI is starting to sound less like an editing error and more like "I want this class to have this ability here so that when I take it, I'm insanely awesome".

The shield activates when he has a 3rd level spell avalible, right? The Crystal Warrior ACF gets his much earlier than the Mage, but he can't actually use it until he has a third level spell avalible some five levels later. A class feature should kinda work when you get it, so I figured it was just a copypasta error.

Ahh, yeah I see that. Now I feel 5% like a jerk for thinking you were just slapping around RAI to weasel in a few extra pounds of power.

That makes zero sense.

For similar reasons to the shield, the Crystal Warrior's Crystalline Weapon should probably not require 4th level spells.

I'd like to see more spells per day on the basic Crystal Mage, at least at lower levels. First, because it's way too easy to run out of gas and be stuck with your energy peashooter. There's a good reason that everyone goes specialist Wizard, that Clerics have their bonus domain slots, and that Druids have bloody good class features to fall back on. Second, because otherwise the Crystal Warrior doesn't actually give anything up if taken for only a couple of levels.
