Instinctively, Tash ducks quickly into the opening, his broad blade naked. Indeed, it seems as though he doesn't carry a sheath for it that you can see. He moves quickly and efficiently, though seems to be paying most of his attention to the rock.

Xar follows in, blowing some of the risen dust out of his face. "Must' been a while since that travellin' 'appened, eh?"

Cyrus has relatively little trouble getting about in the cave, due to his small size.  "Should I take a look ahead?  It may be dark in here, but I can see just fine."  He seems a bit more confident in the darkness of the cave, wearing it almost like armor the way he slips almost out of view.

"Nah, no worries. The only reason I'm here is to kill things that threaten us, which is why I'm taking point. Just keep an ear out; these tracks probably aren't new, so I'm not worried until I see something that suggests otherwise." Tash keeps his eyes on the ground, hoping that the others pick up sounds he doesn't.

As you head down into the tunnel, the air grows more warm and moist, and the tunnel goes from looking like a natural cave to obviously being worked stone. You occasionally hear faint chittering sounds, and once or twice catch a brief glimpse of cockroaches the size of cats scurrying around corners or into cracks away from you. You also see a couple of humanoid remains, nothing left of them but bones and rags, any valuables obviously looted long ago. The echo of your footsteps ahead lets you know that the tunnel must be opening up into something bigger, just outside of your range of vision.

"Well there better be somethin' down here, feels like me' swordarm's been restin' for an age."
Xar gives the two latecomers a cheeky grin through the darkness.

Cyrus's eyes glow pale blue for a moment and then cloud over as he manifests precognition.  Then, immediately afterwards, he gathers some psychic energy into the palm of his hand and slowly squeezes it as he wraps his fingers around it.  Eventually, the energy bursts out of his grip, but instead of scattering it holds together in the shape of a short blade.  Prepared to continue on, he steps to one side of the cave, allowing others to pass ahead of him.

"I'm not seeing so well, so lemme know if you spot something." Tash follows through as soon as the opening presents itself, crouched lightly as if in a fighting stance. Blade held in front of him, he swiftly moves to the left side of the cavern.

The tunnel you're in ends in a larger chamber, with stalagmites and stalactites adorning the floor and ceiling, respectively. Near the center of the room is a pool where water seems to seep from below. At the edge of this pool you see a stream of ant-like creatures walking up, dipping what looks like a bowl into the water to fill it, and then turning and going back out of the chamber via another tunnel. The creatures have a torso that sits upright from their abdomen, and small arms tipped with three fingers each. Some of them look up at you as you enter the chamber, but they do not stop their steady bucket-brigade.

Tash doesn't seem incredibly tense, but then he also seems a little aggressive and potentially mad. "Be careful. These seem harmless enough, but i know of similar creatures that are not so incredibly pacifistic. Actually, I'd love to throw down with one, but let's avoid that for now..."

"Good for a scrap, are they?" Xar's hand hovers restlessly on the hit of his sword.
"Looks like comin' down 'ere might be worth it after all, eh?"

Cyrus nods in agreement with Tetch, and points across the gallery.  "There's another exit over there.  We should go that way, I think.  Better to avoid these ant men."

Xar clicks his tongue at Tetch. "Hey now, I weren't gonna waste me blade on these weaklings now, was I? Just hopin' for a bit o' fun with them tougher ones what Tash was talkin' about." He walks off towards the tunnel Cyrus suggested following.

"Always a pleasure to have another decent gentleman along for the ride, Xar." Tash smiles at him, happy to know someone else at least has similar motivations and interests. He catches up quickly, maintaining a frontal position in the tunnel.
