Frost Pillars

Considering these two statements:
Quote
Each pillar fills a 5-feet square and can extend up to 10 feet per IL upwards
and
Quote
If a creature was under the pillar, it must make a reflex save or be thrown into the air in a direction of your choice, traveling 5 feet for every point they failed the save.

I am wondering; is the distance launched calculated from the ground or the pillar when it reaches its full length (10ft/IL)?
If from the ground, then when a target is launched straight upward, does it remain on top of the pillar without taking any fall damage if its launch distance is inferior to the pillar's height?

From the pillar when it reaches its full length.

Cold Seriouness
"No matter the situation, at single glance at you is enough to freeze down the most hotblooded heart. Giants think twice before staying before you and even mindless undeads know you mean business."
Prerequisites: Must know at least one Crystalized Silver stance.
Benefit: While in a Crystalized Silver stance:
-You ignore any size diferences while using or being the target of Intimidate atempts.
-You can now Intimidate oponents immune to Fear by taking a -4 penalty on the roll (including making them shaken) and use your Cha mod instead of Wis mod when resisting Intimidate atempts from others.
-If you have 8 HD or more, you ignore Freedom of Movement effects in your oponents.

In what sense? (The bolded part)
Because I don't think Freedom of Movement means anything for fear/Intimidate effects.
It's in a feat where all the other effects of the feat are related to Intimidate so I just don't know.

In all senses. You ignore Freedom of Movement with your slows and entangles and whatnot.

Now let's see if I can post Marisa class and her school before I black out from drunkness.

So I recently realized that Icicle Weapon (2nd level) is pretty dang amazing when you realize you're not restricted on the size of weapon you can make.
Colossal sized greatsword is pretty sweet to pull out of nowhere when you pounce stuff :D
Made me wonder why I can't get a circumstance bonus to Intimidate that scales per size category bigger than you the weapon is  :devil
No but this discipline doesn't need any changes it's playing out pretty well, loving it so much~

Does Ice Body entangle or slow?

Entangle.

I was also thinking of remaking the tactical feat for this. Ice car was kinda of a parody from another game, and Cirno got some new spell cards since I first made this. Probably could use a third "middle" feat since I'm at it.

Ice Barrier
Crystallized Silver (Counter)
Level: Swordsage 5
Initiation Action: Immediate Action
Range: See text
Target: You
Duration: Instantaneous
Save: None

Trying to argue with ice is usually a waste of time.

You may initiate this maneuver to fully block a single non-line, non-ray attack that would affect you. Any attack that deals any amount of fire damage automatically bypasses the Ice Barrier. Regardless of this happening or not, after that attack is finished, the barrier then shatters by itself if it was still standing, not blocking any more attacks.

So when it says "fully block", does that mean if, say, I use this when hit by an AoE, does it also block for any other people that might be getting hit by the AoE effect (basically negating the whole attack) ?

Only the initiator, clarified.

Also just me, or is the tactical feat kinda lackluster? It was kinda my first school big feat, and mostly a joke related to another game, maybe it's time to update it.

Maybe let them use a Crystallized Silver Maneuver at the end of the charge instead of a basic attack for the 2nd option? Also maybe let the leap back be a little bigger? Base it off remaining movement from charge maybe?

As is it kind of stops you from using your actual maneuvers, but if you have the feat you probably want to be using them. The damage for the 2nd option isnt terrible, but you should probably be rewarded for connecting the 3rd option besides extra damage. Maybe a save vs entangle for the target being engulfed in ice?

Though Crystallized Silver doesnt have much melee maneuvers either. Maybe allow using a maneuver as a swift or free action after making a successful melee attack and moving back?

Tactical feat completely overhauled, actually expanded over 3 feats that can be picked at levels 1, 3, 6 and ⑨ with 3 options each for ⑨ options total, although you get acess to each of the levels at random each time you enter a stance. Focused around combining your maneuvers with physical attacks with some ice utility thrown in.

Gonna be playing a Winter Fairy swordsage with this school. I'll let you know if anything happens. I was wondering if you could alter the maneuvers so that they are separated into separate "spoiler" sections by level? We're starting at level 15, so navigating for the maneuvers I want to use is a bit difficult.

Kinda delayed news, but I split the maneuvers into spoilers based on levels.

Hope you have fun!
