I'll have Nigel's body collected as he struggles with his condition, and then leave it open so that he can return later. Unless you need to drop out completely, but I'd rather give you the chance to return if you want.

That sounds fair. Changed the tone of the post to match that.

Boz, you didn't have to change it. Mostly what I meant was what you said sounded like you were using your history and experiences to instill a bit of uncertainty in Boris, and then using Perception to watch him and notice any hints of altered behavior so that it would give you an edge in the encounter.

Yeah, pretty much. Oh well. The new post is less flavorful but still follows that idea without making it more of a Mechanics check, plus I'd have to retype it from memory. We'll just stick with that one for now.

Boz, if you want to replace it, I've got it saved in my history.

Quote
Benedict's eyes flick over the alternator briefly before he breaks into a smile. "Oh, not just a military engine room." He reaches out and taps the metal on a side plate, indicating a small trio of faintly discolored spots. "All Federation intelligence operatives have their equipment tagged for retrieval or remote destruction in case it's lost, and their ships are no exception. This was where you took out the blackbox, yes? Very well done, not triggering the thermite charge. Flagrantly, flagrantly illegal, of course, but a very neat job all the same. How long did you say that waiting list was again?"

Sounds good. I'll make it sound less like intimidation, though.

There. I am never touching that post again.

I'm merely giving you the chance to correct a misunderstanding that I caused. Never mean to make you go through all that effort.

No, no, it's not your fault. I'm just grousing unnecessarily because I can't make up my own mind. :P

Venn, I posted a character sheet in the Crew thread in my post. It made me realize how much I hate our character sheets and the fact that they don't self-calculate at all. I'll see how progress is coming on the revised sheet. It was supposed to have been started months ago.

Yes I saw the sheet you posted but it lacked some of the basic stats such as those I mentioned above. Let us know if you find out about the advanced sheets.

No, I mean I just (as of that post) posted a sheet, the one from the RoC site.

And yet another site my work blocks in addition to google docs. :P
So if it sounds like I'm missing something about one of your characters, I'm probably posting from work!
Hmm.

Sorry I didn't try to update this and move it along, I was at PAX East all weekend. I'll try to come up with something tomorrow after work.

Hieronymus Corp. is full of sass...

Well, keep in mind that all Ms. Crane did was look at you funny before you called her a bitch. I think technically Noa's the one that opened hostilities here. :P

Besides, this isn't a corporation. Hieronymus Rosso is a shady, sleazy man with his fingers in a lot of less-than-reputable pies. Basically, he's a space mobster, running the station as a front for his other more criminal dealings. Thus the contents of the cargo you delivered, that Noa discovered weren't exactly teddy bears and lollipops. :D

I guarantee you'll meet a lot more scumbags before the end of this game.
