Thank's muchly, It looks (and reads) so much better with proper formatting.
Why did you go with the scales ability not adding energy resistance though? intrigued

I didn't want the dragon versions of the classes to be flat-out superior than the original versions, so I tried to put in a few balancing things.

The balancing point I was intending was that you already had to have most of the abilities anyway which necessitates investing a pile of HD into either a racial class or HD/LA.  Basically the view that enhancing existing abilities was less powerful than granting whole new ones. I can see where you are coming from though.

Hmm... that's definitely true to an extent, but the racial abilities tend to be better than the class-granted ones, IMO.

True enough, dragons have some nasty racial abilities. I had intended for a dragon to have stronger powers but a narrower focus (that was what the whole personal ideal thing was for) but it ended up being more of a bonus than a penalty, They generally are down a class skill though :D

The only point I can think of where an ideallist will be better than a true dragon is the manoeuvrability of their flight as most dragons are stuck at poor.

Possibly drop dual ideal to 20th level on the wyrm warrior for a true dragon to account for the personal ideal if you wanted to knock their power down a bit.

We seem to have lost the formula for save DCs on ideal powers.

Better to say that one of their class skills would likely have been redundant... ;)

That's true, but at least it bumps them to average.

That's actually a very good idea.  I'll do so.

EDIT: On second thought, no, I'm going to leave it.  Having an extra ideal adds more versatility, but not a lot more power.  It's basically one extra readied maneuver, which is worth a feat.

We seem to have lost the formula for save DCs on ideal powers.
Oops!  I shall fix.

Most ideals have a number of useful passive abilities, too. Don't discount them.

Yeah, but a lot of that is going to be redundant with what they already get from being that kind of dragon.

If you stop expressing an ideal that is using the Child of Eberron archetype you lose your companion which is really strange. You could lose and regain it from day to day.

I would either have a companion as a requirement of the archetype or put some fluff along the lines of the creature springing from your body as part of the expression of the ideal. That way it isn't an unnaturally picky animal but is instead an expression of your ties to nature.

The archetypes will need to be edited along with the rest of the Ideals...

Possible other epic ideals are platinum and chromatic which are the types of Tiamat and Bahamut.

OK, so one of the reasons I've been avoiding working on this is that coming up with the Scalethief stuff along with the Ideal Powers and the Dragonmage spell list just seemed like too much.  So I think I'm going to rework the Scalethief slightly, so that Scaletheft actually just wild shapes them into a dragon (essentially).  So they give up their normal Ideal abilities while scalethieving, and instead get to walk around as a dragon for a little while.  That way I don't have to write any new scaletheft abilities for the individual Ideals, lol.

Does anyone foresee problems with this?

Chromatic Ideals are officially done, barring edits due to critiques.

Typo in White IV: "pend" a use of your ideal powers. Also, I see you're moving from roman numerals over to the dragon ages within the ability descriptions themselves? About time.

Gold is done, working on some of the other metallics from time to time.

Copying over my working notes so they aren't lost.

I'm not doing the exotic weapons. Those, I leave to you, Sirpercival.

That's upsetting... can you use Maula Kae instead for now?

Perhaps a selection of some of the true dragon stuff? Or the ability to get all of the dragonborn aspects (Heart, Wings and Mind)

Perhaps a mix of both, certainy some sort of enhancement to the breath weapon makes sense.
