Gotta spend that WBL, and I'll be wit 'ya!
Great news.

Anyone hear anything from Pencil, or is it time to contact Nanshork and tell him he's up?

Bring the fresh meat in!

Thanks for the invite but life just got very grrr and I think I'm about to have a falling out with my in person group before a game even gets off the ground so I'm feeling very unmotivated.    :-\

Okay, scratch that whole last post.

I'm lazy.  What role would serve the group best?   :p

We have a Kalashtar Psion bent on world domination, a Dreamsight Shifter Druid bent on dominating the animal kingdom, a Xeph Soulknife bent on psionic domination of martial combat, and a Strongheart Halfling Ranger bent on bear-shaped domination.

In which way would you like to get bent?   :P

I think we have the basic roles covered, so play whatever you want. I don't think we really have a trapfinder, but I could use 1 power point constructs to spring them, if we need to.

Something with buffing would probably go well. We have plenty of frontline and magical utility.

I don't do buffers well, but I could fill the generic skillmonkey roll.  Now to pick a race...

I don't think they meet the requirements of this game.   :P

Edit: This is going to be harder than I thought with the limited book list....

The issue isn't picking a race so much as picking a base class/build.

It also doesn't help that I keep thinking of things that would be hilariously suboptimal, or a melee build because we totally need another one of those.   :p

How about a Factotum? I'm not sure what racial paragon you'd possibly use with that, though. You might have to 'brew one. :P

No can do, Dungeonscape isn't on the allowed book list.

See, picking a base class/build is hard!

Yeah, I know what you mean... Hmm... you know, a Human Paragon/Cleric/Master of Shrouds might work well. Human Paragon is one of the better dips for entry into MoS at ECL 4, IMO, and Libris Mortis is on the allowed book list. Fluffwise, you could be calling the ghosts/spirits of your fallen ancestors for help, since you know... there are so many of them now, what with everyone else being dead... They're probably pretty pissed off too, and have a vested interest in seeing the last of their lineage doesn't perish like they did. :P

Edit: Here's the Handbook. :D

That isn't a bad idea at all!  Unfortunately I don't like playing traditional full-spellcasters...  I'm difficult I know.

So far I'm thinking either Rogue/Changling Paragon or Beguiler/Human Paragon.

How about a generic spellcaster variant with the idea I proposed? You can call yourself a Ghost Whisperer, or something.  :tongue I thought the spontaneous cleric was a variant in the srd, but I can't find it...
