Yup, it's starting to look like Group 1 is losing interest because stuff isn't really happening.  Perhaps we should just start going for the Umber Hulk?

I'm hoping people aren't too worried about attacking it though.

From my perspective:
- NPC gives speech.
- PC's stand around talking about what action to take.
- Other than talking, no one does anything.
- After a week, I have NPC make comments. Intent was to push forth action.
- PC's talk, still don't actually go anywhere.

I (as DM) react to verbs. To Wit: In the Consuls Hall, people talked out which thing they wanted to do, but then Sorag motioned for the rest of the group to leave, then many people discussed leaving, but it wasn't until Spades actually walked out that I moved the scene.

You guys can ask each other "Hey, want to go?" all damn day. Once one of you says "Yes" and starts moving... that's when things happen.

So it doesn't really matter much what is done, just that there is action.

Basically, me and Graalmas agree.

I agree, but thought Joseph wouldn't be the one to do so.

Aye, I don't think it's a problem of lost interest either. At least not on my end.

Um, I intended Dunewalker to go two houses up to get info like the guy said was there instead of leading people all the way up to the guards...  lol

This'll work though.

Umm.. oops. Sorry about that.

Since this is a situation that actually would resolve on its own without interaction (waiting for Sgt. Foth), I'll update with him Sunday or Sunday night. Just in case any of you wanted any other interaction before he showed up.

@SirP
Just because you don't have to worry about their attacks ;)

... unless you think the one who's been partially dissected is still alive. Because I didn't really think I needed to write that. Its torso & abdomen are both cracked open. It's pretty dead.

@ SV, All I did for you was update the first post with the added information.

Good news: You now know why they're smart.
Bad news: More questions than answers.
Great news: You already know the most important answers (Can they be killed? Yes. How hard is it to kill them? Not.)

Whelp, you have the info.
Unless someone else wants to roll for the last bit of info, and even without that, you have all of the important bits (Axiomatic & Incarnum).

Decision time. If you head into the fields, turn to page 216. If you venture the infested darkness, turn to page 17. If you wish to discuss matters with your allies, turn to page 153.

(I wonder if kids today have anything like Grey Star the Wizard. Like Choose Your Own Adventure, but a lot cooler & better done.)

While I wait for you guys to finish introductions, can I get an accounting of all of ya'lls special senses?
Things like scent, darkvision, low-light, mindsight, tremorsense, whatever else. Also, what light source you will be using will help me figure out how to describe things.

Dunewalker has low-light vision.  And FML, I still need to buy stuff with the 1450 left over.

Throreth & Hawk Familar(don't worry, it'll have a name soon) both have low light vision.

As for light sources, mundane will be a Hooded Lantern, magical will be the Light spell.

Low-Light Vision, Darkvision. Has Liquid sunlight as a light source, but keeps it packed unless needed.

Inna hasn't been on much, but I'm going to advance things along a bit just to keep them moving.

Question -- if Graalmas lights himself on fire (via Fireproof, Red Dragon Ideal), does he give off light like a torch?

Yes, assume at this point that I'm going to take the free action on every turn to light myself.
:facepalm :nonono

Did that IRL. Also, I'm going to update just one little thing in my post for this info then.
