Sam, the picture for "Vector" is broken.  Also, you didn't put in your affiliation score / mods.

You are right! Added affiliation. The picture seems fine to me though, but I will repost it just to be safe..

Your rank is actually Malus, not Securus, but the benefit is correct. :)

Been busy, but hammering away at my equipment. Still trying to figure out what my niche is going to be, exactly, but I think it will wind up being "having a spell ready for any and all situations."

I'd like some advice from my team though, on metamagic to use with my spell completion items (scrolls). I know it depends on the spells, but I guess having some general purpose options would be a good idea.

I was thinking of having Reach Spell and Split Ray to make better use of buff spells that tend to be touch range, as well as some debuffing spells that are the same. However, if I take the Twisted Vellum feat, I can use my Int for those touch attacks anyway.

Chain Spell will eventually be a good idea, though, I think.

Primed and ready!

Edit: As far as your Metamagic is concerned, Split ray will become somewhat redundant with Chain Spell but you can retrain it.

My character will always be somewhat close to you guys since he is made to protect you by both controlling the area around him and by giving you an area where you are safe from magical attacks. So he will be easy to touch most of the time.

I think the main question is whether you prefer entering the fray (Twisted Vellum) or shooting from afar (Reach Spell).

Just to clarify, the feat is for the Twisted Vellum discipline, and called "Intellectual Superiority." It only allows the touch attacks to be made with Intelligence if made as part of a twisted vellum maneuver, though I imagine almost all of them would be.

Mostly, I can't use Chain Spell until much later, while split ray I can use now.

Hmm, this dedicated wright of mine is sucking up some significant resources. The only reason I've really got it is so I can keep crafting consistently while we're down in the dungeon. Besides the cost of the construct itself, I've also got to have an enveloping pit so I can give it a workshop space. Due to the fact that it's technically a relic, it's got a CL of 20 which means I can't just craft the thing myself.

Perce, is there any way I could craft a non-relic version of the pit that just doesn't have the relic power? If not, that's fine. I'll just figure out how else to reduce my spending so I can fit all the scrolls and wands I want in. :)

----
Also, if you guys have the resources left over, I can always craft a dedicated wright for you guys too, so you can keep crafting while we adventure. We can have a whole mobile workshop set up in the pit. :)

How much are those little guys? I have 700 gp left over about, and I'm guessing they're a little pricey.

I also have 700gp left - which I figured would go toward party resources (scrolls for Venn or Potions/Alchemical Items for Boz, or a Wright for someone).  Unless someone has a suggestion for some other Item I should have?

They're 1575gp and 120xp after reductions, or 2175 with pre-game xp-gp conversion. It's also something I can craft for you later on (or have my dedicated wright construct!), though at some point it could be quite useful to have all of our crafters with a wright to keep churning out our respective consumables while we adventure. Saves time and keeps us stocked, without having to worry about being interrupted while crafting or going back to town each night. At some point I'd like to craft some other homonculi and/or effigies as well, as they could be quite useful.

Okay, to my horror I find that my backstory which I totally typed either never got saved or I hallucinated the whole thing. I told my friend those weren't "just really small portabella no dude seriously just be cool man would I steer you wrong?" but nobody ever listens to me. So I'll get back on that and see if I can do it again, but I'll be doing it when I dont have to get up for work in 7 hours.

Aside from that, I have 700 gp to jerk away or donate to any whose role revolves around one use items and finds they need to be better stocked.

Gonna bump this question for SirP just in case.

Perce, is there any way I could craft a non-relic version of the pit that just doesn't have the relic power? If not, that's fine. I'll just figure out how else to reduce my spending so I can fit all the scrolls and wands I want in. :)

It's not a huge deal, but a yea or nay would be appreciated, even if we're not getting the game started right away. :)
