Once Prime gets our board set up I'll post a sheet and ask about more things.

I wish there was an easy way to gain permanent fast healing...

Troll blooded feat from dragon mag gives regeneration 1, iirc.
Smile beautiful. It's not as bad as you think.

If you don't want to spend a level, Spellshape Study (Starsurge) + Formula Study (Heavenly Alignment) can get you fast healing 1 (and various other benefits) for the whole party, 5 rounds out of 10. It's from the Astral Essence circle.

If you can spare a level, a 1 level dip in Anchorite for the Devouring Shadow aspect or the Natural Balance numen both offer all day fast healing.

Putting that on a warforged would be interesting.   :p

Eh, I don't want it badly enough to dip for it, and two feats is a bit much for me.  Oh well.

Haha they just used the blood of a troll as part of the alchemical solution that serves as the warforge's blood.

Troll-Blooded requires Toughness first, btw, so it'll still cost you two feats.

I know, but A) Regeneration > Fast Healing and B) I (might) be able to get Littha to let Improved Toughness sub in for Toughness and there's a PrC I want to take (if I can get Regeneration/Fast Healing) that requires Improved Toughness.

You know that makes you fatigued in sunlight right and most of this campain is going to be on a ship/outdoors?

Ahh, wait warforged are immune to fatigue... I would have to say you can't take the feat because you wont take the penalty. Besides that it is a regional feat that specifies particular race/cultures (All of which are human).

To be fair, Troll-blooded came before they made the Living Construct type.  I imagine if warforged had existed before they made the feat, they would have mentioned it doesn't apply to them because they're constructs, even though they're "living" constructs.

However, since it's in Dragon 319 which was during 3.5, they surely knew of the Horizon Walker and that it could give immunity to fatigue.  Then again, WotC has never been that careful with certain rule interactions have they?  lol

Fair enough.

Edit: You could just let me play a Tome Barbarian, they get fast healing.   :P

Edit edit: I guess I'll scrap the prestige class I was looking at (not that it matters because it wouldn't be until level 10).  I'd dip a full BAB class for it but one doesn't seem to exist, and persisting vigor spells seems to be the only other way as I want something permanent.

Wasn't there a draconic aura that got you fast healing?

Yeah, PHII I think, aura of vigor or some such, grants all allies in 30ft fast healing 1. Iirc.

You should have a human commander of some sort, a sworn to service minotaur as his best friend, the female love interest, the goblin scapegoat, some blind guy house guest, and the one dimensional pilot flying a living ship with an engine that disagrees with you guys fighting your commander's evil brother.

Could be pretty interesting from what I gather :D

You're gonna have to explain how that works... :)

Aura of Vigor.

A) It isn't in the list of auras that you can grab with Draconic Aura (though Littha might rule I can grab it anyway.

B) You only get fast healing up to 1/2 hp.

I'm on the fence about it, but I don't think it will do what I want.  There's a prestige class that lets you spend HP to do things (including extra actions at about fifteenth level, maybe a little less).  That's what I want this for mainly.

You can take it if you like. You also missed your closing bracket and that annoys me for some reason...

Oh one thing I completely forgot about, pirates would not be pirates without some kind of guns. Dragon 321 has the rules. They are exotic weapons but you can cross apply any crossbow feat to a gun of the same size (hand crossbow focus to a pistol for example). I don't expect to see these get a lot of use due to the difficulties of keeping your powder and thigngs dry while at sea but the ship itself will be armed with cannons.

Healing discussion
I was actually thinking of grabbing the fast healing spellshape, but I was still waiting on approval of the homebrew (this one & this one. Only downside I see is that the fast healing may get halved into nothingness for mr warforged.
