Unimposing, and lithe, Susanoah is surprisingly strong, with good balance and hand-eye coordination. His clear blue eyes speak to the confidence he has in himself and in the law. He is quick to laugh and to joke, but he is just as quick to draw his blade to put brigands to justice.
Susanoah is an adventurous youth that has recently been retained as a personal adviser by local lord, Ald Frost. Eager to prove himself and quick to defend the meek, Susanoah takes to his duties with good cheer.
He believes in the righteousness of his lord and of the laws he helps to enforce, but more than that he believes that, beyond the comprehension of men, is a set of absolute Laws, sublime and virtuous in their order.
Susanoah is confident and self-assured, but he can come across as cocky and even dismissive when he doesn't weigh his words. He tries to use his words to bring comfort and peace-of-mind to others, but when that (often) doesn't work he has no problem allowing his actions to speak more loudly.
Susanoah is the second son in a long line of warriors and possessed of the wanderlust that gripped his grandfather and moved that line out of the northern lands. He has been hired on as personal adviser to local lord Ald Frost, a mostly throwaway title as Frost only keeps Susanoah around because of the lad's sense of duty and to vicariously gorge himself on Susanoah's stories of adventure.
Susanoah serves with the city watchmen when he isn't running errands for Frost, though the other officials in Frost's house, senior employees who were snubbed by Susanoah's appointment as adviser, are quick to point out that he has little if anything to offer as political advice goes.
At his own homestead, Susanoah has been studying under the tutelage of his grandfather, a man who was once a great warrior himself. Though Susanoah is brash, and quick to act before thinking, his grandfather is attempting to teach him better discipline – not only moral discipline but mental discipline as well. The unarmed fighting lessons and meditation techniques have thus far made Susanoah a bit more acrobatic on the battlefield, but his grandfather assures him that they have only struck the tip of the iceberg.
